Had a spell in the 1st half where he showed glimpses of the player we bought. Skinned his man from a standing start. Other times just trusted his pace to power past. Very few players capable of doing that. Sadly, no end product.

If he could could do more of that over a sustained period & add better crosses, plus runs into the box, shots etc.., then he could make a big difference.

Let’s hope he can get fully fit & produce the goods.

Oh Bolasie you little minx get a few more minutes under your belt and you might actually see a cross hit one of our players....there's a good lad :)

Erm............................am i missing something here?

He wasent exactly tearing up trees before his injury was he?

Not in the slightest. Revisionist history from the FIFA generation because he has pace on that broken game I reckon, only reason I can think of as he's been pretty much exclusively bad. Hit and run then thump an aimless cross, usually miles away from anyone, over and over again.

Just isn't true though, as has been debated so many times. What's revisionism is you stating that no-one has succeeded in coming up with a compelling argument for the neutral that the lad is effective. You don't like him, as is your right, therefore it makes debating redundant because nothing I or other pro-Bolasie players state will change your mind.

Bolasie has an excellent first touch and is extremely competent and keeping the ball. Before his injury and countless times for Palace also used his pace to get his team up the pitch, from his box to the opponent's.

If you want some stats to back up that Bolasie isn't terrible, he averaged 0.31 assists per game. Barkley averaged 0.22 assists last season with far more opportunity to improve that average given he played 36 games (Bolasie played 13). He also averaged winning a tackle a game. Barkley: 0.72. In the games played, Bolasie's assists totalled 4. Barkley 8. Again, Barkley played in 60% more of the PL games than Bolasie did.

Is he inconsistent with his crossing? of course he is.
Is he a bad player? of course he isn't. He's a good, effective player.

His 'poor' crosses owe more to the lack of mobility and fluidity of our forwards. Our only potential threat last night.

It's actually painful that many Evertonians would prefer Lee Carsley in the team because 'at least he proper got stuck in, lad' than someone with genuine ability.

Sam Allardyce perhaps isn't at the wrong club after all.

In his entire career, hes scored 29 goals. 1 in 10... for an out-and-out attacking player, and to compound matters - most of it was League 2, League 1 and Championship. He also has a total of 40 assists in 10 years.

He's rubbish. Always has been.

At least we bought him before the fees became even more inflated. Probably would've been £50m last summer. There'll be a couple of games where he'll be unplayable but for the most part he's going to frustrate the life out of us.
