Doesn’t look where he’s crossing. It’s ass if he thinks his job is just to stick it in the mixer and that’s it, he’s played well.

So just punts it from deep every time without looking up, no awareness at all of where his team mates are.

It’s the wingers equivalent of Morgs playing a backwards pass so he can say he’s done his job.

Kenny does this too, gets down the right and just punts it into the box, stresses me out

Bit of an odd player watching him again.

Not judging him as a 100% ready player, he needs time and games to even get anywhere near that so I would like to hope he has plenty of room to improve over the coming months.

Seems a very basic player, not skilful or anything you would associate with a winger but just direct. Kick and run type of winger and try to outrun the player and it kinda works for him. Not every time but no winger is that consistent in beating their man. But perhaps what he can offer us going forward now is that basic football winger style. He gets anywhere near his pace back and sometimes that might make something happen for us.

But far too early to judge him as a match fit ready player so no point in being critical of him, just to praise the positives right now

Can beat a man remarks? ... I think a bloke with a Zimmer frame would have beat Lindeloff today.

I want him to succeed, but reality is he’s not got the quality required. Play him till the end of the season put him in the shop window.

I thought he looked good when sat in the ground watching the game.

Some good runs.

But watching the recording just now it was the Bolasie I recall from before the injury.....a few flashy runs and crosses whipped in more in hope than with accuracy, as @Wayno implies in his post.

In between, precious little IMO.

He is no Dave Thomas

He was about our only major threat today, geez guys. He's not fit. Obviously he had a GREAT match on his side, but he was pretty dominant with it when he was out there. The idea that he's firing blind is a fair critique, but he's still putting it in good positions if we had ANYONE playing CF.

He did great first half. Beat his man every time and the only real quality on the ball we had.

Would've liked him to cut into the box and get shots off though, considering he only has quite literally one player to aim for in the opposition box.

It's pointless putting crosses in if we only commit 1 player to attacking the box.

Agreed - if Gylfi plays as a number 10 and a striker who will attack the ball plays, I think Bolasie becomes instantly far more effective

Still think he's an extremely useful player to have, particularly on the left as he can go both ways from there
