2019/20 Yerry Mina

The guy isn't really our problem, it's who he is partnering with. We need a monsters in 3 central areas unfortunately which isn't the easiest to find at the best of times and, even worse, significantly expensive. I do wonder if Spurs really did want to move on from Sanchez, if we got him, would they find that partnership as dominating as they are for Columbia?

And I agree with others here, what the hell happened to him scoring from headers? I would have put him as the second coming of Lescott with how many he scores for his country.

2017 it was already signed with Palmeiras that Mina will join Barca in summer 2018. Fee agreed and the deal done at €10mil.

Signed sealed but not yet delivered.

December 2017 Barca renegotiated with Palmeiras to receive the player in Jan 2018 for a small increase of the payment.

At that time Palmeiras were also offered €25mil by Borussia Dortmund and explained to them that Mina's transfer was already approved.

The only thing missing was Minas signature but everyone on the globe knew when Dortmunds offer was knocked back that Mina had already agreed the transfer at the time of the signing between Palmeiras and Barca.

Cleatly Palmeiras didnt accept an option to buy for free...it was a deal.

Thats the reality.

Another reality is that youre making up stories about us signing Yerry Mina without watching him in a match outside of the world cup.

Clearly thats nonsense...just admit it and move on.

There is no verifiable source that evidences any of that.

In fact, much of your claims you'd only know if you were directly involved in negotiations yourself - were you?

Or, you listen to hearsay and rumour and treat them as fact, that's another possible reality.

Clutching at straws here im afraid...the tried and tested:

"I dont have a clue what im talking about and now look a bit daft so I'll say it cant be verified"

Youre digging yourself a hole.

How about you look back and the post you initially made and just take a few minutes to ponder if any of it was true.

I happen to know and have explained it to you twice now.

Move on.

Well it hasn't been verified has it ?! lol Other than you saying these things on a Football forum, which forgive me I'm not taking at face value - it's nothing personal.

You're not 'explaining' anything, you're making claims that have no basis in fact as far as I can see.

Nowhere can I find evidence that Dortmund bid 25m for him, or even spoke to Palmeiras about him.

Nowhere can I find evidence that he actually signed for Barcelona 1 year prior to when he signed for them.

If you can show me where you learned about these things, i'll gladly admit I was wrong. I'm just disputing them because I've yet to see proof.

Why are you so condescending?

I’m not being condescending, I’m asking him to provide supporting evidence for his claims!

He’s been unable or unwilling to do that thus far. Like I said, it’s nothing personal, but anyone can chuck around false claims if we all just blindly accept them at face value.

Give him a chance then jabroni.

@Keiran
Im confident that if you simply:

1: Go to google search
2: Type in Mina Dortmund
3: Go to google search
4: Type in Mina Palmeiras Barca

You will have your answers...

You can probably find some quotes in 2017 if you do some research. They should be online as thats where i read them 2 years ago...

@Stav1985 agreed, its not my fault that he doesnt know the subject matter which hes making misleading posts about...

I like Yerry, main thing im upset about is he cant seem to score of blatant headers, he always has free headers for us that come to nothing.
Two sitters costs us last night ......

Its really bizarre, Im going to blame Michael Keane for it :)

I don't.

There are no quotes. Just links to a Borussia Dortmund transfer rumours site.

Your partner being rubbish can’t really be used as an excuse for you air kicking a ball and putting it out for a corner, letting a throw in bounce over your head, or heading a ball that’s about an inch off the ground and so taking yourself out of the game. I wouldn’t really want to see a centre half do those things over the course of a season, to do them all over the course of 90 minutes is embarrassing.
The one when he headed the ball near the ground was pathetic, and it went straight to a Leicester player.

Youve now inadvertently proven your other point wrong...

You inferred (incorrectly) that Brands had lied about watching Mina before the world cup, as if he was an unknown.

Seeing as there was a bid (which youve acknowledged being at least a rumour) by Dortmund of €25mil that should tell you that he was quite well known at the time.

Marcel Brands has a well publicised contact network of scouts in south america so he should know who the player rated as the best defender in Brazil would be at the time.

Dont you think?
