Harry Redknapp got Spurs in the Champions League, Moyes got us in it, so what?

In isolation, it’s a good achievement but you’re right, there are a few who have done it.

However, did Harry Redknapp get anyone else in it as well? Did Moyes get anyone else in it? Did either of those two win a Premier League title and break Real Madrid’s points record?

Amazing the way you keep bringing this up as if it means anything at all when it won them absolutely zero and the record was obliterated two seasons later. You carry on though, you’re great fun.

The problem is that both of them struggle to defend the half way line. It´s no coincidence they both looked solid at Old Trafford because we were pinned back for large amounts of that game. Rather than relying on what´s in front of them, I want my centre halves to be taking care of things themselves and driving the team forward. If you have no faith in your defence the whole team is going to struggle as a consequence.

I don’t disagree with you mate, I was just stating that whilst neither are top class, they aren’t the dross that they are currently being made out to be. A truly rubbish player is hopeless wherever he is played. Mina and Keane can both do a job in the right set up. I was fortunate enough to see Labone in his prime, as well as Ratcliffe, Gough, and many others. So I do get what you mean. It just bugs me the way with lots of our fans, our players are either the dogs wotsits or they are lack and should be shot in the head?
