He was the first warning sign about Brands tbh. The signing was always a disaster and I say that as someone that likes him and thinks he's our best centre half

I’ve never rated him hugely, but he’s now comfortably our best defender. Tough to know what to do with him, as with an injury record like this we won’t get big money. But his constant unreliability is a massive issue.

He has missed 35 games through injury in the 3.5 years since.

One can only hope that Frank and his team are instilling in these players, that while the loss of such a big player is potentially disastrous, it is an opportunity for someone else to step up and to stake a claim on that position. It's part and parcel of the game, it affect's most other teams in the same way, Leeds for example are without at least two of their talismanic players for Saturday. In Frank we trust!
