Echo says Garbutt is back at Finch Farm - undecided if they will send him out on loan again.
I suspect he stays if the Oviedo to Sunderland links are true.
He's had some injury problems and his loan spells have been unspectacular (to say the least).Do you reckon he's got much of a future mate? Never seems to do anything while on loan at a lower level.

he has no future at everton, nowhere near good enough and hes 24 soon. his agent will be trying to find a decent league 1 club for him i'd guess. only problem is hes still got 3 yrs on his everton contract though.
Think thats a bit harsh to be fair, Leagu one well be low his level. He showed enough a couple of years ago to suggest he is more than capable of playing in the Championship and potentially the Premier League just maybe not at the top end.
Loaning young players out is a very difficult thing, look at the likes of Galloway and Barkley, if the player makes a mistake or the manager just doesn't take to them then the loand can be a disaster and set the player back. Garbutt has been unlucky with injuries and when a club is invested in the players development then heir game time can be reduced making the loan worthless.
I think the club are being much more careful about who and where a player goes on loan now after a few disasters.
...Oviedo going nowhere apparently;

Actually makes sense given he was chosen as cover ahead of Galloway at the start of the season.
Apparently Pulis won't let him come back as he wants him as cover.Jeez yeah. Wonder why we haven't brought him back yet? I thought it was strange that he was sent there in the first place, he's clearly not physical enough for Tony Pulis' rugby club, hence why they're playing a 6ft 4 meathead right back in his place. Reckon we should recall him and send him back out to a top-end Championship side personally.

Pulis has no say in this at all, he's our player. There will have been an option to recall in case we had a few injuries and were short on numbers.
