"Lee Molyneux side-footed wide from Antony Evans’ inviting cross and it wasn’t until the last 20 minutes before the home side finally began to threaten."

No particular comments.

Doncaster Rovers - Conor Grant started and played full match in 1-1 home draw with Luton Town

OS Match Report
"It was Rowe again who fashioned the next attempt, Everton loanee Conor Grant played a direct ball into the path of former Peterborough United man, who shrugged off his defender before hitting a left –footed effort, which was deflected just over the crossbar by Hatters captain Scott Cuthbert. "
"Rovers were back on level terms with 10 minutes of the game remaining, a knife-through-butter through ball by Grant was picked up by substitute Alfie May who slotted the ball past goalkeeper Macey to score his first goal in a Rovers shirt."

Twitter stuff
89' Grant bursts forward and is urged to shoot, instead he looks for Marquis but the pass is too heavy. 1-1

Fan comment
"I didn't realise Grant was playing until he took a few set pieces late on. Completely anonymous, other than the assist of course...

so I'll let him off."

Grimsby Town - Calum Dyson played full match and scored twice (one penalty) in 3-0 win over Mansfield Town

"A good cross-field ball from Osborne found Andrew on the Town left on 23 minutes and the left-back tried to pick out Dyson with a cross but Kean got to it first and claimed a catch."

Thanks for all the time you take to do these updates mate, they are much appreciated.

An approving fan post said that he grabbed the ball for the penalty, showing his confidence.

...they have to grasp their chance so that is very encouraging. I'm a believer that the lads need to really impress at this level if they are to breakthrough at Everton but it will take a few games for them to settle in.

As @LinekersLegs says, your summaries are much appreciated. I dare say they take a bit of collating but are always great reference material for us. Many thanks.

I saw highlights of the Oxford game, can't help thinking that sending Ledson on a season long loan and McAleny on a permanent deal would have been the right way round, not that Ledson did anything spectacular . Still maybe the permanent move without a safety net to fall back on is what it takes sometimes for a youngster to move forward.

..I dare say we are well covered in his position which makes me wonder if Liam Walsh will be allowed to leave if the right offer comes along.

I've never seen any details of that transfer. No idea what the transfer fee was or whether there was any sell on/buy back clause incorporated. You'd like to think the club was savvy enough to do a good deal for the club.

..I like the little fella as well, Fred, but he doesn't seem to be near the first team squad.
I thought he was still training with them regularly. Still only 19 and over 2 years left on contract. Having a great season with the under 23s and widely considered one of the best players in that league. Can't see us selling him at this stage. Maybe a year long loan to a championship club will be the answer next season. I was disappointed when Ledson left pre season, but you could sense all wasn't right with him last year. That's not the case at all with Walsh.

..I remember reading something pre-season about Championship clubs being very keen on him and EFC reluctantly agreeing to let him go because of the limited opportunities available to him here. As you say, he's young enough to come through but I would like to have seen him promoted to a match day squad or even taken to Dubai.
