And Galloway.
The difference, to be fair, with Galloway is that he was (and sometimes still is) a member of the matchday squad and has played for WBA. The problem for him is that he has obviously not impressed Pulis (or Pulis thinks he has better options) so he is not playing at the moment.

Apparently we asked to cancel the loan, WBA asked for repayment of the loan fee in return and neither side feels motivated enough to end the deadlock. We probably think he isn't going to get any apprpriate game time with us at senior or U23 level and he might as well spend the half a season fighting for a place at WBA to learn how it is in the PL and WBA think he is a decent enough back-up if they get hit by injuries or lack of form.

I find it hard to understand the value of sending players on loan to teams managed by the likes of Pulis. Completely different style of football. Pulis values completely different style of players (i.e. technically limited big units like Nyom). Can't see what this would do other than erode the loanee's confidence.

I'd imagine the reasoning behind it was that for all his limitations Pulis is a good defensive manager so would have brought that side of Galloway's game on considering he's a centre half after all. He's not playing but he'll pick up lots in training off the likes of Evans etc.

Keep us up-to-date with how he is doing (and Ledson). How is John Lundstram these days?

Lunny is captain and first choice centre mid with Ledson. Neither played on Saturday though, no doubt because we've got a big fixture backlog - 13 games in 6 weeks with 8 games coming up in March.

Lundstram has real quality though, his long range passing with either foot is unrivalled at this level. Makes the odd ricket where he overplays but on the whole is a very good footballer who will have a good career.

Highlights from our 4-0 win below, watch for a comedy moment at 1 minute in.

League Two
Doncaster Rovers - Conor Grant started and was substituted in the 88th minute of 3-2 away win over Cambridge United

OS Match Report
"Rovers had a free-kick in a dangerous position after 62 minutes when Alfie May was fouled centrally just outside the area. After some trickery by Rovers to try and fool the home keeper, Grant curled a left-footed effort over the bar."

Twitter stuff
22' It was really hard to see who turned Grant's pass home, we think it was Baudry but announcer here called it as Marquis. 0-2
48' A free-kick from Grant comes to nothing as Norris punches clear 0-2
62' Some trickery from Rovers before Conor Grant takes the free-kick which curls over the bar 0-2

Grimsby Town - Calum Dyson started and was substituted in 85th minute of 1-0 home win over Colchester United

OS Match Report
"When the first goal did come with 42 minutes on the clock, it was the Mariners who took the lead against the run of play. Dyson was the architect, picking up the ball in midfield, working his way into the box and getting to the byline before pulling it back for JONES to tap in from close range to open his account for the club."

Fan comments
"Dyson barring another bit of brilliance was completely lacking support up top, felt a bit sorry for him."
"Dyson did superb for the goal, and defence was solid."
"The lack of service dyson recieved was appaling, felt for him as he worked his socks off. He made our goal and even then the effort to get in the box from the rest of our team was non existent."
"Dyson MOM for one of the few bits of quality and for manfully battling against 2 or 3 defenders on his own mostly."
"Massive credit due to Dyson (whose run for the goal was fantastic) and Jones who ran themselves into the ground. The former looked like he could barely put one foot in front of the other 10 minutes before he was substituted."
"Great work for Dyson to create a winner when it looked like he had nowhere to go (rubbish defending, mind). Very tough for such a young lad to be left on his own up front and he didn't win much but also didn't give up so kudos where it's due."

Anthony Evans was an unused sub in Morecambe's game.

If anyone is at a loose end tomorrow night, we're on Sky Sports 3 against Luton in the Checkatrade Mickey Mouse paintpot shield. A good chance Lundstram, Ledson and McAleny will all be playing.
I think that McAleny is cup-tied
