EFL Carabao Cup
Bolton Wanderers - Antonee Robinson played full match in 2-1 away win over League Two Crewe Alexandra.

OS Match Report
"And Wanderers looked dangerous on the counter, with Antonee Robinson and unusually Derik causing problems in Crewe’s penalty area."
"The Whites were level with 19 minutes to go however, with Adam Armstrong notching his first in Bolton colours when slotting home from six yards out following superb link-up play between Antonee Robinson and Will Buckley."

Bolton Manager Phil Parkinson: "I thought Antonee put in an outstanding performance. Everybody knows that a wing-back is a physically demanding position and he drove the team on from that position. He showed a really good attitude, so I was really pleased with his contribution."

Twitter stuff
Good play from debutant @Antonee_Jedi to dispossess a Crewe forward in the box before preventing a corner. (11)
.@Antonee_Jedi's lofted cross is too high for @AdamArma9 with Aaron Wilbraham too far away as Crewe head clear. (44)
.@Antonee_Jedi tries to force the play down the left after recovering a deep FK but Crewe intercept & clear. (56)

Fan comments
"Earing and Robinson both eager and willing."
"Young Jedi was having a 'mare until he had a hand in our first"

Matthew Pennington not in Leeds squad (injury).

...very interesting comments from the Forest fans re Dowell, much the same as we have made. Be really interesting how he manages a full season in open-age football. I hope @davek regularly reads @atrottel excellent summaries, they will help inform all of our views on these young players.

I like how you thought that new information can affect Davek's opinion. He sure didn't waste any time in proving you wrong!

EFL Carabao Cup
Sunderland - Tyias Browning, who was booked, and Brendan Galloway played full match in 1-0 away win over League One Bury

OS Match Report
"Brendan Galloway was also amongst the starters and within 90 seconds he threatened down the left, with Grabban steering a header into the side netting."

Twitter stuff
2' #SAFC go close to a very early lead! Galloway's cross is nodded just wide by Grabban, unlucky!

Fan comments
"Browning and Galloway also decent."
"Galloway cant defend for toffee ( no pun)"
"Both the Everton lads impressed me tonight. The future isn't as bleak as it looked 3 weeks ago imo."
"Seems very solid." (Browning)
"I like him. Quick, strong, no bullshit." (Browning)
"Better of the 2 loans at the back. Built like a brick shithouse" (Browning)
"I like him seems strong and quick. If he makes a mistake normally has the pace to recover. Only criticism is he treats the ball like a hot potato. Finds touch more often than a red and white shirt" (Browning)
"good defender, needs to work on his distribution" (Browning)

As I watched most of this match... I would have given both of them 5 out of 10.

Galloway 6 going forward but 4 for defensive work and positioning. Looks like he is slowly getting his confidence back but, like the rest of the team, needs to work on his crossing.
Browning pretty much as mentioned in the fan comments above. Not particularly troubled defensively but not happy on the ball. Didn't like to show for his keeper and frequently motioned for another player to receive the ball. A few cases of poor distribution.

that sums browning up and why he always reminded me of hibbert when he played right back coming up. no reason why his distribution shouldnt be better.

Championship
Barnsley - Joe Williams played full match in 1-2 home defeat to Ipswich Town

OS Match Report
"And then straight down the other end, Reds hearts were broken. Joe Williams was robbed of the ball on halfway and Waghorn broke at pace, the defenders backed off which allowed the striker to pick his spot, firing low beyond Davies to give the visitors the lead."

Fan comments
"Williams has taken some stick in some threads, but we need to stick with him....."
"not impressed by the lad from Everton Williams !"
"Williams struggled a little first half, but got stronger as the half progressed. The change of system at the start of the second half left him struggling to come to terms with his new role and he was at fault in the Ipswich winner as he lost the ball in a dangerous position."
"Williams - has to win all those important tackles."

Nottingham Forest - Kieran Dowell started on bench, came on at half-time and scored a goal in 4-3 away win over Brentford

OS Match Report
"The defender beat two Brentford men and saw his deflected shot fall to loanee Dowell who powered the ball past Bentley via a deflection to claim his first goal for The Reds."

Twitter stuff
81' Brentford 2-3 #NFFC: Brentford full-back Rico Henry is shown a yellow card for a late challenge on Kieran Dowell.
84' Brentford 2-4 #NFFC: Forest respond brilliantly to conceding as Kieran Dowell's deflected shot beats Bentley in the Brentford goal.

Fan comments
"Dowell - 5. Looked quality against Millwall - today he looked like a kid against men at times. Nice goal though, so gets a bonus point for that (forgot about it first)"
"Dowell - Excellent when he came on, immediately made an impact to the game. With Clough having literally no impact on the match, Dowell filled the void excellently and its no coincidence that we clicked once he was on the pitch."
"He had a sizeable impact on the game - the lad that he replaced had been a passenger and Dowell's quality showed immediately after coming on. He seemed to have a fairly free role between midfield and attack which suited him nicely.
Brentford were going in quite hard on him so I think the word is already out that this boy is something different.
He's a joy to watch - it's a delight to have him in a Forest shirt."
"Had some good touches and played some great passes."
"He's a technical player and is playing under the right gaffer."

Antonee Robinson was an unused sub for Bolton Wanderers.

Leeds still waiting on update for Matthew Pennington's ankle injury.

Cheers mate ;)

Hopefully won't be long before Robinson is getting some proper game time at Bolton.

Hope Penningtons injury doesn't keep him out too long.
