"Barrie McKay chased onto a through ball from Dowell and provided a perfect pin-point cross for Murphy who placed a header past Adam Davies in the Barnsley goal."
"The Gambian international charged through the middle to free Dowell on the right of the penalty area. The Everton loanee was in plenty of space but opted for a first-time shot which he hit tamely straight at Davies."

"can sumdi tek that Williams back to bleedin Everton , he's weak n clueless"
"We leave the midfield open at times. Williams just wants to win the ball back. Sometimes he's got to think of the bigger picture. 40 yards away from goal isn't the time to be pressuring, just sit back and get a good shape and they will not beat us."
"Barnsley played 4-5-1 with the central midfield trio arranged in a triangle with Williams at its defensive point. In the first half, Barnsley worked exceptionally hard and were able to dominate because of that. Nevertheless, Forest were always dangerous on the break, and Williams struggled to cope on his own at times as Moncur and Potts were often caught by the pace of the Forest breakaways.... There were some very tired bodies in red and white by the end, but the prize for effort beyond the call of duty goes to Williams, who is the first player that I have witnessed throwing up on a football field during a first team game."

"Getting on the young kid Dowell's back is ridiculous! For the last two games, some have been suggesting he's a class above. That's equally nonsense. He's a young lad, still learning his trade. He's got some talent, but is going to make mistakes. That's HOW you learn. To lay the defeat at his door because he didn't convert the ONE chance that came his way...well, take a look at yourselves."
"Dowell is a frustrating player. Some fantastic touches and passes. Then horrible finishing, and pushed out of duells like a small kid."
"That Dowell lad is going to be a great player."
"That Everton lad has got a ****ing great touch and seems to create space around him. Really good to watch..."
"Two words. Kieran Dowell. A special footballer, whenever we gave him the ball we were dangerous. A pleasure to watch."
"Dowell looked excellent bar the missed easy chance."
"His awareness is on another level. Was that two perfectly weighted backheels in the space of 10 minutes onto the path of Darikwa, absolutely sublime."
"Best player on the pitch by an absolute country mile. Couple of naive moments but that's expected."
"The backheels to Darikwa

Some of his touches and turns were different class. Such a shame he couldn't finish that glorious chance."
"Enjoy this kid while we've got him. Won't see a more naturally gifted footballer like him for a while in a Forest shirt.
Brilliant loan by Warburton, fair play to Everton for trusting Warburton with a footballer who could one day be an England regular."
