First sentence - good craic.

Second sentence - I agree, but when it's right in your face. I always ignored it. But the locals are off the scale with their insular attitude to others and the nasty vibe they give off. You may have experienced a bit of the same where you live, roydo.
I used to live in Kent and being scouse actually made me considerably more popular than I ever was in Liverpool. Especially with that other gender.
They hate us in Yorkshire like but it's mainly just cause they think of us as part of Lancashire

Yeah, that's bumming up the city. But a lot of narrative, particularly about the Thatcher era (which I lived through in Liverpool) is decent. And how other parts of the country look down on Liverpudlians. Believe me, I was subject to a lot of it, coming from Liverpool, when I moved with my job.
The thing with Thatcher, and I was a teenager then, all cities in the UK were run down, riots and mass unemployment, no way did Liverpool have it worse then say the North East for example.
Also the miners strikes, I remember them, loads of communities torn apart.
At certain points most of the country suffered while she was Prime Minister, but Liverpool simply did not have it the worst.

Never mate. But the Bristol area is a melting pot of folk from all over the world.

I take your point. But is there a record of any other part of the country being considered for 'managed decline'? Look at the attached, 4th line from the end.Managed decline document.webp
