Yeah, if Moshiri popped over to the Watford chairman and said "Can I have your manager mate?" that's not really tapping up is it?

Tapping up is if you approach the manager whilst he's still under contract. Approaching the managers boss is how you're supposed to do it is it not?

Just being realistic mate. Silva wants it apparently. Watford cant hold him as a slave. It'll happen. The remainder is all about keeping relations as harmonious as they can be under these circumstances...which is where the compo comes in. If the club up that figure it sorts it out pretty quickly.

It wouldn't take a lot of foresight to have an inkling that attracting a manager from another PL club in mid-season would be extremely difficult. Take the blue-tinted glasses off and there are many that would not see a great deal of difference between us and Watford.

During the pursuit of Koeman, it was exactly the same and not merely from Southampton fans - who the hell do Everton think they are?
