As others have said, I think he’s complete and utter rubbish obviously, but he’s been alright the last couple of weeks and always gives his best.
Morgan Schneiderlin could learn a lot from this fella’s attitude.
He doesn’t know how to do a lot of things.
His decision making is poor, but even with the simplest of things he’s astonishingly dozy at times. He often just looks at the ball when he should be running towards it. At one point today he completely stopped to put his arm up and appeal for...
This fella is right up there with the very worst Everton players since Moyes took over.
Cheers, Ronald. An excellent decision to sign Southampton’s third choice left back.
Looked to me like he may have been pushed over. Not sure, though.
Having said that it was hardly textbook defending.
EDIT: Just seen it again at half time, that’s just a shocking attempt at a challenge. Gueye got completely bypassed though, no way it’s solely Martina’s fault.
Rooney has had some decent games, as have Calvert-Lewin, Davies, Niasse and Pickford. Martina has had one at best, and the rest have been comically bad.
They're all crap, yes, but Martina is extra strength crap.
As for the Sandro pass, it was hardly Beckham, but Martina may as well have been lying flat on his back trying to receive it. If he's 10 yards away from the ball in a good crossing position with everyone in the box and 2 minutes left, yet doesn't anticipate a pass, he's beyond help.
I must blink hard or something whenever he puts these so called good crosses in.
Just getting it into the 18 yard box under no pressure doesn't make it a good cross, lads.
Maybe, but the RTG forum did a "strongest 11" thread the other day and he didn't even make most of their benches. And didn't get a kick at West Brom. Not sure why you think he should be in the Everton side. Holgate yes, Galloway no.
