So was mine originally about davek being a 'closet' Kopite. But so much gets lost in understanding in two-dimensional internet pages...

I know full-well that davek is a blue; I (and others) skit him cos he types so much negativity about the club. And he still thinks Bobby Brown Shoes should still be Manager...!
Racist.

Swansea threatening to report us, hahahaha.... Good luck with that lads, The Premier League tore that rule up last month, blame Liverpool not us ;)

But they haven't really mate. It's all headline spin:

“At this time we have not received an offer from any club which represents a fair valuation of Gylfi given his importance to our club.”

“As we have stated, we will not be bullied or forced into a decision until a club meets our valuation of the player, no matter whether they believe they have an agreement with the player. Any such agreement would obviously be in contravention of Premier League legislation.

“We have the ultimate respect for Gylfi as a person and a player and we are optimistic that he will reconsider his decision and join his teammates.”

So... no offer received, we'll sell (only) at the right price, so don't be tapping him up, even if it was the player's own decision to not travel.

Then in the world of headlines it's 'Swans report Toffees for illegal approach'.

Jeez...

well, not really. They said 'no offer received which represents fair valuation'. Meaning our 30m bid could be right on as a way to unsettle the player and they aren't happy about it.

as per Clements comments this is roughly translated as "for sale, knock on from door for more details"

Kenwright and Steve Walsh are doing the deals David, Koeman and Moshiri arent involved.
I'm afraid Morgs I'm going to have to pull you up on that one.
There is no way on gods green earth Kenwright is involved in the negotiations on a meaningful level.
Look at the evidence.
We are paying actual money for the players
We are paying real wages to the players and the real biggie we are singing players in June and July and not waiting till deadline day so we can save a couple of months wages
Bill is probably in the room handing out tea and sandwiches and regaling the players with stories when he stood in the boys pen but that's about it.
Walsh is the man

Fair comment, but it could also refer to the £40m Leicester bid. There's no confirmation of a bid from us, is there? Unless we take Joyce at his ambivalent word...

To be fair, I think if this was in reverse (as it has been many times over the years), we would be claiming our player has been tapped up....

Sounds abit like we have tapped him up to be honest, and then have been shocked by Swansea's valuation of the player (although we did want similar money for Stones last summer)....
