I think Labour are now out for at least 10 years. The boundary commission proposals will be implemented, Scottish Labour needs to be completely rebuilt, England will get it's own parliament and Labour will still be fighting off the unions tying to impose another Ed..........
Watch this space we have no productivity to erase the debt it has doubled under the coalition the books have not been cooked they have been toasted for every £28 spent in the last five years the Royal Mint with quantitative easing 27 pound coins were minted - Royal mail sold off too cheap, |Vince Cable got his just rewards for that blunder - over tax the rich issue when Harold Wilson was in power the Beatles got taxed 97.5 p in the pound hence the great George Harrison song TAXMAN - nothing changes do you think its correct that footballers who are almost millionaires get a tax break?
All political parties look after their own end off - lets see how it pans out all the promises which were all unfunded by the Tories lets implement them!

if you don't think there's something wrong with a 50% income tax rate, no matter how "few" people it affects, then I guess I could come to the same blinkered conclusion as you.

Why stop at 50%? If more tax is better, then why not tax them 60%, 70%? where you do draw the line? Ideologically insane to tax the wealth creators, yet this is how the Left think.

I think 50% to 60% is fair, especially if that money helps take families out of poverty. Scandanavian countries have some of the highest tax in the world yet they seem to function fine.

A lot of wealth creators don't create wealth, they just have the miserly wages they pay topped up by the tax payer. Take Sports Direct and Mike Ashley for example.

I don't want to live in a world where the chasm between poor and rich continues to grow. No society can be built on these foundations. There needs to be a fairer, more equal alternative. You cannot possibly think a system which relies on good banks to feed children is the best on offer?

Farage is done. Douglas Carslwell will take over and shift them away from immigration and Europe to an alternative Tories that focuses the gains of right wing libertarian ideology on helping the working class.

I think Farrage will be back, I hope he will be. Until then I think Suzanne Evans will take charge.

The people it effects is the middle classes who earn between 40k and 80k and right now they are struggling too with mortgages, tuition fees, kids etc

People struggle on those type of incomes because their lifestyle is one of someone on a higher income than their own. I know people who earn £500,000 a year who struggle because they adopt a lifestyle of someone earning £1m.

Jesus christ

The top rate of tax has nothing to do with wealth creators who don't pay tax as income tax.

Asking them to pay even more isn't fair. They worked hard to get to that point in their lives and frankly many already think whats the point when they can't even afford to have kids.
80k a year is Middle class? ARE YOU SURE?

tuition fees, what planet are you on?

I knew I shouldn't have ordered that diamond encrusted uniform for the butler........

Who pays 60% rate of tax?

Cant be bothered finding the chart, might do later, but there are all sorts of sliding scales of income levels that lose the nil rate band and stuff that pushes their marginal rate of tax, in other words the actual amount they pay as opposed to the "rate", over 60%.
