2024/25 Relegation Thread

Potter inherited better than Dyche. Arriving with a full pre season after they finished 40 points under Houghton in the Prem.

Do we have money to give Potter and 3 years to take us to what Dyche did last season?

Ultimately Potters Brighton record is worse than Dyche at Burnley and Everton.

Shall we also talk about Potter at Chelsea?

As for Bournemouth they also spent a few quid - lashing £100m+ in one window last summer and didn't win any more points than us last season.

You talk about expectations at Brighton - just because we're Everton, it doesn't mean we have a better team.

Potter at Chelsea was never a good fit due to the nature of Chelsea being a club that wanted instant success. The fact however they saw in potter as a coach is more evident of the fact they wouldnt touch someone like Dyche with a barge pole.
I also cant believe you're somehow trying to play down the difference between brighton under houghton and potter. He basically through coaching with the same players took them from a team hardly crossing the halfway line to playing sides like City and Arsenal off the park.
Brighton being a major team in the prem right now started when Potter took over from Houghton.

Let's call a spade a spade. Stadium is fantastic and job well done there.
Now to the football club. Run over the last 20 plus years by a shower of idiots who couldn't organise a session down the local without messing it up. The amount of money wasted even recently is criminal. How could anyone including idiots sign off on spending 20 million (our only money) on a squad player, similar to that young forward from 🇵🇹 who I haven't seen since last year. Did we blow 12 or 14 mill on him? And then think that dcl will lead the way when he has had 1 good season in his career with us. He is a championship forward and they put all our chips on him. Dcl and beto should have been sold and combined money to bring in a half decent forward.

A complete joke of a football club and we will get our just reward this season flirting with relegation for years, the acceptance of utter garbage for years is even sadder. Dyche is an extremely poor manager who wasn't good enough for Burnley and who will take us down on our last season at goodison by making woeful decisions while our neighbours win the title.

Vault me.

No. Our truly crap manager shares the blame. Seems truly inept at being to get a tune out of any of his forwards and the moron throws them under the bus each week, which has drained their confidence. Disgusting man management skills
Apart from 1 season under Ancholotti DCL has never been a decent striker, Beto is just another DCL.. it's been obvious for a few years and well before Dyche that we have issues up front these haven't been addressed under multiple managers.

If he wasn't a good fit at Chelsea with that squad allowing him to play any style he wanted - he certainly isn't a good fit for this Everton team.

Brighton fans were booing him at home in his last season there.
