2024/25 Relegation Thread

Listen how we have not won/lost these matches is infuriating, that said removed of just being pissed with the gaffer I am marginally optimistic. When we entered this year our biggest worry Id argue was our finishing. Obviously our resources is a massive caveat but Thelwell deserves his flowers on that problem. Ndiaye and Lindstrøm have impressed personally. DCL keeps fit he looks worthy of his average return along with an improved Chermiti when right. If our manager is sensible and plays who he should we should warrant some better goal counts.

Obviously I think most also hoped for some backs to come in but I think we were relatively assured in the defense as long as Jarrad stayed. I think Pickford has been a bit off his best, Tark has played through injury. Cut that with the slew of injuries and I do think its reasonable to have some course correction. If Branthwaite is in these fixtures I doubt we are winless. Seamus and Patterson too I do expect the defense to find a median output of stableness. Would be nice to see O'Brien but our best options seem to be available soon.

My main worry beyond just Dyche is possibly the midfield. For the fee Thelwell again deserves a shout with Iroegbunam but I do worry we have lost some physicality in that area. Im worried in our options there. The absence of Onana's ball winning and connectivity is noticeable. But a return to form defense and a marginally improved offense I think could come over the next month. Still all those takeaways are graded on a curve and ultimately compared to our relegation counterparts. Last year the group that came up was less formidable then this year so I expect stressful months ahead.

Can’t win can you. If he was our boss people would make comments like that. We are boring, we are dull… give me that over what we are at the moment any day of the week.

He would absolutely be hated here. I don't care as much about the play style as getting an acceptable points-tally. I am quite pragmatic.

They had 29% possession today and 67% passing accuracy 4 shots 3 on target.

They had 30% possession vs LFC with 69% possession with 5 shots 3 on target.

Both Dyche numbers where he would even be hated when succeeding.

Had fewer chances than the opponent in both games, but still got 4 points. The in game management of Nuno is much better than Dyche's, but the football isn't.

Agree abit problem had with midfield tim who i think has done well be out straight into the team with gana and hasnt really clicked to much. Think garner is the key for the midfield as can just naturally sit in, also didnt catch the game yesterday but seen few reports doucoure had his best game. So with him gana back fighting to start should help and imo mangala and tim could be played in the advanced role in midfield to attack more

Hope not - that's barely a punishment at all and they'd just win the league next season instead. Not much in return for a decade of cheating is it! Expulsion and ban from Premier League makes much more sense.
100 point deduction is barely a punishment? How would they win it next season when they'd be in the Championship?
