6 + 2 Point Deductions

Welll , go out and form your own teams create your own league , invest what time and money you can afford to make it work.
We all moan about the state of football and how much we have come to mistrust and dislike how it had become , but no one is prepared to create an alternative.
We are all seemingly happier acting out the helpless victim status , and I include football supporters as a whole not just us .

lol

I'll do whatever I like thanks. Create an alternative? Get a grip. I buy my match tickets for Everton and Marine, other than that, I play no part in the circus. I Love many things about English football. Why do I either have to be happy with everything about it or abandon it and start my own sporting institution, ffs?

So what? SO EFFING WHAT?

We'd have one of the best leagues, with aggregate crowds remaining the highest in Europe. Only people who care about us being the 'best league in the world' are the people who pay money to broadcast matches,

I was at Marine the other week. 2000+ turned for a cup game vs Harrogate, and we always get over or close to a thousand. And that's the seventh tier. English football, is vibrant and inimitable. It sells.
No problem if you want to destroy what is currently in place and I can fully understand why a lot of fans of Prem league clubs might want to blow it up and start again. But, in doing so, how would this be any different than certain clubs wanting to break away and form competitions of their own? The reason they don't is because of the risk.

Thing is, if you don't like the Prem. and what it currently stands for, then go and watch football at another level. You've done that and I hope you enjoyed that experience.

I disagree with your statement about the only people who care about being in the best league in the world are the people who pay money to broadcast matches though. It's not the case. I care that my club continues to compete at the top level it can. It is important to me. Thousands of others care as well.

Because it would mean 20 or 30 clubs could win the league instead of the current cartel of 6,.

If the major sponsor was paying a realistic amount for sponsorship and naming rights then we could have just replaced it. We couldn't because Usmanov an absolute monster was propping us up. Many of us warned about it because it was an accident waiting to happen. The posters now whining like a bitch about it are the same ones who looked the other way.

We dismissed Siggurddson immediately and were not paying his wages. The £10m was what we could have sued him for because we lost his transfer value. We can still sue him. So it is absolute nonsense to claim it is mitigation.

We did not dismiss Siggurdson immediately, will you stop repeating this lie ? He was put on indefinite suspension until his contract ran out, now as that happens he is still under contract so we are bound to pay him by law. You're complaining in another post about posters lashing out against you, now other posters who don't agree with you are " whinning like a bitch" isn't that lashing out ? Or is that to you reasoned discussion. Didn't hear many fans complaining when Moshiri took us over but you are wiser after the event..whoopee. Mitigation is when there are other things happening that effect you that are out of you're control, agreed ? Was Covid in our control ? Was Putin crazed attack on Ukraine in our control ? We're the allegation against Sigurdsson under our control ? Each of them things mitigated our circumstances, Covid no fans, the war took away our main sponsor, you could argue no other club suffered that much loss because of that war. Sigurdsson, again couldn't play him, couldn't sell him had by law to pay his wages. We were £19.5m over in three years, we argued due to the circumstances it was £7m, the Commision mostly ignored our pleas and we were given a totally excessive punishment that way outweighed the crime. That will be the basis of our appeal. You also say off hand why didn't we just replace our sponsorship, if it was that easy I'm sure they would have, remember only the big clubs find gaining massive sponsors and commercial deals easy, that's why we have for because it suits them and it keeps them winning and the divide ever widening. There you go I've tried explaining and I'm not always right, but there are a few reasons why Everton fans will probably never agree with you.

What was our punishment in 92 for breaking away and forming the Premier League or wasn't that bringing the game into disrepute cos it was us?

It didn't bring the game into disrepute though did it?

Did it cause protests on the streets? Did clubs betray their own fans and push ahead with the idea even after their own fans had told them en-masse they didn't want any part in it?

Did Arsenal fans call it "the death of Arsenal as a sporting institution"?

No, didn't think so.

Regardless of anyone’s views on Usmanov you can’t replace a multi-million sponsorship overnight. I would be surprised if a sponsor would want to get involved at short notice and at the tail end of the season…just wait until August 22 and the new season.

Player X was described as a “star player” in the report and his stats show that he either scored or assisted goals in 30% of the games he played for Everton in the 4 years previous. We lost that talent and influence on games if we were able to play him or lost his transfer value if he had not been charged in the summer of 2021 and suspended by the FA first.

Only because it was more clubs doing it. It was the beginning of the end of football in this country and I wish it had never happened and we should be ashamed to have been one of the instigators. Pure greed on our part
