Exactly. Everton was the scapegoat when they needed to look tough to keep an independent regulator at bay.

PSR isn’t fit for purpose but it’s even more ridiculous when we get hammered and Utd get off Scott free despite spending fortunes on players and wages. Sporting advantage anyone?

Wouldn't surprise me. They don't have the balls to relegated them plus it would be devastating in the PL eyes

The PL don't have the power to relegate them - the PL control what happens in their own division, they can't relegate them two or threee divisions. All they can do is deduct enough points that relegation this season becomes a mathematical probability/certainty

i imagine the PL can relegate them. But obviously only from the PL.

The issue that then arises is how Man City approach their remaining games and the impact it has on everyone else’s results etc (effectively voiding all the previous Man City games results etc).

If they get anything, (big if) it would only be a points deduction that puts them at risk but doesn’t doom them.

They can certainly remove them from the division and ban them for participating for as long as they like. Which sadly they won't.
