6 + 2 Point Deductions

At this point, I think I'd prefer to just call it a day. Who wants to be part of this absolute sugar show. Even if we come through this and survive, we're still part of this corrupt league. With the rules in place to protect their scabby top 6, it feels like our existence is to just make up the numbers.
Amazing how many people on here were so desperate for the big 6 to remain in the premier league after the super league nonsense.

Watch out Sky 6/7. Luton are coming for you.
The Everton of the last few PL matches, ignoring the cup triumphs, should really steam past them IF nerves and confidence aren’t affected. Thats obvious.

But after 7 matches (not that long ago) we were on exactly the same points as Luton with 1 win in 7 games. If we generate the points per game we were up until very very recently, where everyone wanted Dyche out and Myko was still crap, we might have an issue.

My post referenced Luton not Everton.

Not sure people are feeling sorry for him Butters, but I don’t think you can deny his tweets have been vastly different the past few days ,whereby initially he was quite vocal about the deduction and supportive of Everton’s case. A definite edict from his paymasters and the PL methinks.

What a narrow minded life you live.

Wouldnt surprise me if were out of the relegation zone and looking safe when the decision is made from the appeal and they go ok we will remove the points but you've got a transfer ban for 12 months.

One way or another they will want to see us suffer from the punishment.
I don't have a problem with the club being punished, because we are guilty. Punishments do usually involve a bit of suffering so I can accept that as well.

What I can't accept is a punishment that does not fit the crime.

My fear now is that the decision comes very late in the season when the PL will pretty much know how many points sends us down.

They would basically be giving us a thumb up or thumb down.

Merry Corruptness Premier League.

I think what we are seeing with the points deduction this weekend is that even if we get it reduced, the affect its had on the team, and on other teams is that it will do us damage regardless. Luton and Bournemouth have had a major confidence boost by it, when previously they looked lost.
Bournemouth had 6 points out of 9 before we were punished. Your post doesn't make sense.

The very fact we have to appeal and jump through more hoops is bordering on scandalous to me.

We shouldn't have to appeal the decision this so called "independent comission" should have to logically explain why one breach of these rules is deserving of the most severe punishment in the entire history of top flight football in this country.

You can field ineligible players
You can run up 1BN in debt
You can sign more players in a window than you can register.
You can spend 1 billion on transfers in 12 months.
You can deliberately obstruct an investigation by refusing to cooperate

But you can't spend 19.5M over the limit when building a stadium during a global pandemic.

It is an outright disgrace.
