6 + 2 Point Deductions

Think the issue we had with regards to the stadium interests was the loans from Rights & Media funding was classed as working capital on the paperwork so we couldn't write it off.

The loans from MSP will be able to be wrote off as that is directly for the build and against the new stadium entity.

The silly thing is was the new build was started with Moshiri paying interest free loans for it. If we done it the other way round with him doing interest free loan for working capital and loans for the build we would have been able to write it off.

Agreed. Though to the last part, the equity always comes in first on a new construction project. No lender would have agreed to putting their money in first.

Our appeal result will be issued in January evidently - so not to affect the relegation issues if we are successful in getting any point's deduction back - it gives teams in the relegation zone time to know what they need for the rest of the season .....

Can we? Really? Thanks for telling me what I "agree" to.

Might as well put the "corrupt" cards away and agree to the 10 points.

To be fair, if we aren't signing players to get better, and therefore gain a sporting advantage, then what the hell are we doing?

Regardless of how bad we were at actually gaining that advantage by buying the right players, the reason for buying players MUST always be to gain a sporting advantage by being better.

Glad someone was able to correctly read what I wrote.

We should accept no points deduction at all.

Koff to any acceptance of that - a financial penalty for a financial breach is fair and would have already been accepted - not this mythical sporting advantage so points it is rollox.

The entire process, including the independent kangaroo court, has been compromised and the corrupt PLs arguments have more holes in than my pops auld budgie smugglers.

The fight is just starting - don’t be looking t for the terms of the truce already.

See, this is what I mean, a complete refusal to understand words and what they mean.

Unless I've misread it you said "I think we can all agree that Everton were trying to gain a sporting advantage by signing players, that's pretty much the point."

What is it that I don't understand?

I don't think it's down to signing players whether it's what you think or I think or whether it's what the PL think - it's not proven. The club didn't think that but had reluctantly accepted the overspend. There is the mitigation from the club that wasn't accepted, whether the club was right or wrong. The point is no sporting advantage is proven it's more due to incompetency from the club. Unfortunately it was inferred sporting advantage because we had the over spend, that we had breeched, and so therefore 10 points.

We can all see the club has been mismanaged, cost of hiring & firing managers, the staff with the manager, players being bought on high transfer/high wages and duds.

In the context of the previous post suggesting that the commission had said that Everton had tried to gain a sporting advantage but had failed to do so, my point in the sentence you quote is that the majority of things that a football club does are with the intent of gaining a sporting advantage. To me, that would seem to be the point of all sport.

Maybe the commission should have stuck unfair in front of it and made it clearer, then everyone would be arguing against the same thing.

We'll be out of the relegation zone tonight and won't go back into it.
