I don't, no. Newcastle as the most recent real world example.
Newcastle's ownership had been blocked until the Govt. got involved.
"Clubs also approved a rule amendment to place teams under a transfer ban if they owe “a transfer debt to another Premier League or EFL club … until the outstanding payment has been made”.So according to sky on the new rule for transfer fees...
'Nobody wanted to punish chelsea' for spending over a billion....
But 10 points for everton for 19.5 mill

Then we need to not consider playing Dele and pack him off back to Spurs...or Spurs accept a nominal amount of a million for him.
Its Matt Hughes. The tedious bore cant help himself on a weekly basis, regurgitating some negative non story.
The lad needs help. He also needs ignoring.
So we just need to let him not play the games that triggers Spurs cash payment (they now want £8m) and he's our anyway? He is out of contract this summer mate.

Yeah I was mate. I hadn't taken too much notice of him tbh because he's so peripheral. Not sure if being serious. He has been our player for 18 months. His 2 year contract runs out next summer. We pay Spurs £10m if he plays sommet like 7 more games for us. We are on the hook for the wages, but not much we can do about that.

So if we don't play him 7 more times what then? He's on a free and can go anywhere presumably?
It's strange that Spurs were still asking for £8m last week for him then. They seemingly have no hand to play here. Are they banking on Everton coughing up so as not to be seen as bad faith actors?Yep. He has credit from many for his role in the Palace 3 2, but for whatever reason(s) I doubt he will have suitors offering the wages he is used to.
If they're banking on us coughing up anything it's probably because we're usually stupid enough to do soIt's strange that Spurs were still asking for £8m last week for him then. It’s now so late in the day that the “ Out of contract” situation dominates. If we want him and agree a say 2 year contract , we won’t play him and give him a decent wage as we‘ve saved £10 mill. If we play him , pay £10 mill he can still go elsewhere if he gets a better offer. So little point in playing him , unless we somehow believe he’s our future and he’s staying. It's strange that Spurs were still asking for £8m last week for him then.
