6 + 2 Point Deductions

Yes, but they'd like you to pay more tax so they wouldnt just let you deduct any old expenses

Indeed. Company accounts are audited, and tax/NI is paid. The deductables will be similar to the PL, but stuff like Iceland, Covid, etc wont be seen in the same light as the PL might.

That has no bearing on this question about FFP.
You're probably right given the actual content of the message. Maybe I should have made my point better?

Had some of the players we bought, done a little bit better, or maybe have been a bit better quality, then maybe we'd have finished higher up the league. Perhaps we'd have qualified for the waffa? Maybe even the CL (like in 05)? Then stretching it a bit further, maybe even (dare I say) we'd actually won a pot?

So, had our recruitment been a bit better, then with a better quality playing staff, a bit more success, then our finances (due to having a more settled team) might have been better going into the pandemic.

All 'ifs and buts' admittedly, but we did an amazing job of buying absolute [Poor language removed], with largely zero sell on value, and in the main very few long term first choice players.

This isn't true though though really is it?

Whilst we've spent a lot of money, we've received big money for Lukaku, Digne, Stones, Richarlison, Iwobi, and Kean. We've also bagged transfer fees for many others. Vlasic, Barkley etc.

Also, if you think about it, we have actually improved in our recruitment strategy. Much of the damage was done in that dreadful Walsh/Koeman spell. And contrary to popular belief we haven't flushed all the money down the toilet. Here's a breakdown and rough estimate of our current playing asset value.

Feel free to disagree with any figures here, but these are based on my own honest opinion, and if anything, I'll try to be conservative.

Pickford - £45m
Patterson - £12m
Tarkowski - £12m
Branthwaite - £60m
Mykolenko - £30m
Keane - £3m
Godfrey - £9m
Mcneil - £30m
Onana - £50m
Garner - £25m
DCL - £20m

That's £286m, and I've not included Beto, Chermiti, Gueye, Gomes, Young, Harrison, Coleman, Danjuma, Holgate and Dobbin for various reasons that should be apparent.
I'm not checking your figures mate, I trust what you've said, but we fooked ffp, after spending half a billion quid on lids, and that didn't include Barkley, Lukaku and Stones as they came before mosh.

I did a quick google of players signed since Mosh took over, and I don't think it includes the last 12 months, either way, the following list is a total car crash in terms of long term first team players/sell on value.

Yannick Bolasie
Ashley Williams
Idrissa Gueye
Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Maartenn Stekelenburg

It’s now so late in the day that the “ Out of contract” situation dominates. If we want him and agree a say 2 year contract , we won’t play him and give him a decent wage as we‘ve saved £10 mill. If we play him , pay £10 mill he can still go elsewhere if he gets a better offer. So little point in playing him , unless we somehow believe he’s our future and he’s staying.

Thing is we've paid his wages for practically 2 years, so we owe spurs nothing, they can renegotiate all they like. This means, he is a free agent, is it end of the season.

Totally. Along with the terrible financial management we've caused all this through our own stupidity. The only person that should be targeted for all this is Moshiri. The Premier league isn't innocent of course but in the grand scheme of things they are totally irrelevant.
