I’m unsure about 777 but Esk changes his tune more than I change my underwear and that’s daily !

I welcome our new dark overlords
The cynic in me might suggest that he knows that by putting out sceptical comments about the takeover, he is just trying to drum up publicity so that he can get an interview with someone at 777 to refute his points, which then equals more publicity for himself and his content. lol

Definitely agree with other posters that a lot of this stuff about us being absolutely on the brink reeks of manipulation. I think Simon Jordan was probably spot on, Moshiri wants out and wants to put no more capital into the club. I’m sceptical about 777 but one has to assume that they have the resources or backing from somewhere to complete this deal. Time will tell. Tbh we definitely need hard headed business people in charge to make the club profitable. If they can provide that and make the club pay for itself and more then all the best to them.

Esk ultimately wants to be offered a roll on the board which will end badly for him...fans will turn on him and he'll soon be telling the likes of Greg O'Keefe he was attacked on Goodison Rd by a gang of Yoofs wielding sausage rolls....in the words of Greame Sharp,be careful what you wish for Esk.
Esk is.......... ours?!

If this is true, that for me would indicate that they are very serious about this takeover. Love him or hate him, Paul is a respected evertonian with solid financial pedigree not afraid in exposing what we all suspect with our finances today with thorough journalism investigation. I guess that 777 might want to try to get him on board which perhaps can go a long way in getting everton fans on their side.
Why am I expected to believe this? The only thing I know about him is that he has been shown to wrong on a couple of his assumptions and public statements. To me he is just another anonymous self-styled "expert" who I choose to disregard.

He may come across as a very calm and considered business chap but there is always ego involved with them guys....but one thing i will say he'd have Everton's interests at heart far more than the previous lot.
I don’t doubt he is a dyed in the wool evertonian but there’s always self-interest at play, especially when someone is putting themselves out there with various websites and podcasts.

Agreed loads of smoke and no fires. If we were close to going 777 wouldn't be anywhere near us until we went and would be in the queue with a number of others.

Esk would back whoever gives him any sort of say on how the club is run. The more they choose to engage Esk the more you'll see his stance on them soften.
Or they could use the proper channels
