It's an extra body. Rather play him than a central player out of position, which is what has happened in 90% of the games over the last 20 years.

People saying he hasn't impressed so far, lets be honest who has impressed in an Everton shirt this season? Hard to make a solo impact and impress when you are in a side playing as poor across the park as we are, least his brain seems to be able to make his legs run fast unlike some of our other players.
Pienaar's gloves
Player Valuation: £35m
He does blow hot and cold which is a problem when you have only fifteen or so games to judge him overall.
Rook
Player Valuation: £80m
Eh he'll probably be somewhat useful and does provide some width. I always laugh at the absurd valuations that Spurs put on their reserve players.
