We are selling a player who doesn't get a game for us, doesn't put in enough in training from the coach's own mouth and doesn't want to be here.

People are upset though because he looked good off the bench a few times two years ago?

If he had been sold last summer you could say Everton failed him. After last season though with stability and a manager who rated him? He failed at Everton.

When did it change from young players not making the step up after going to a big club to the club didn't make the most of the player? Despite the player not having actually done anything in his career yet?

Imagine a 21 year old being inconsistent. I don't know how old you are but it hasn't been long since I was 21 and I can tell you I was not giving 100% effort every single day. I probably didn't hit 50% half the time. And if my dreams and livelihood were played with by incompetent clowns like Koeman and Allardyce and blocked by players like Yannick effin Bolasie I'd probably have been down about it a bit too. And then the new guy comes in and says he's desperate for me to succeed and doesn't get me on the field hardly ever?

Honestly this is clearly best for him. Get him somewhere with trustworthy management and a plan and let him do his thing. Maybe it doesn't work but the only time it happened so far he was brilliant.

Anyone who gets an opportunity like he’s had an doesn’t give 100% every day in training should be nowhere near the club.

I don't necessarily disagree but I also think it's fair to wonder why that happened here with him and not at RBL who have now spent to summers desperate to sign him and what we could have maybe done to have it not happen.

He also got denied his move and didn't get to play. Silva's comments were in March so did he sulk from August until then or pick it up after 6 months of not playing. I know your answer but I'm not sure how anyone can say for sure beside being a body language reader.

Gueye chose to sit himself out after the move fell through. Silva didn't choose to sit him because it caused us to get annihilated by Wolves.
