I didn't say he can't hack it. He'll be alright. He won't do as well as he did over there because the standard of the league is lower.

It's not terrible. It's just a second tier league.

Seriously. Chelsea have been the most toxic club on Earth for a solid decade and they've won the European Cup, the League twice and the Europa League twice.

Also you know who else was a moody young winger with questions about his attitude and work rate? Eden Hazard. It's possible to work with these players.

And I'm saying if you take half of his production (12 goals and 14 assists) he's still a top 10 winger in this league. I believe that to even be a generous estimate of the difference in quality.

I wouldn't even expect him to do half tbh. I don't rate him.

The bizarre thing about this attitude problem is that it hasn’t stopped Hassenhuttl, Nagelsmann and Rangnick from pursuing him. Maybe if he had a few more aesthetically pleasing but pointless touches like Bernard he would be rated highly by the fanbase

None of those players could beat a man with ease, also all those players got a run. He’s our most talented young player imo apart from richy who although young I class as a first team player for obvious reasons. Davies, JJK, DCL all got runs despite being bang average. Selling him without giving him a run will be a major regret imo

You said 'he sat out the next two games for no reason.' That implies he went on strike... I reckon it was Silva's decision because he saw Gueye was disappointed 'immediately' after it. As regards putting it behind him 'immediately' I don't think that is possible for anyone, a big life change in mind one day and the next not! He's human after all. You are using this example to say Lookman was a similar case in that he wasn't played though denied the move and that it is in someway Silva's fault. He obviously didn't deserve it otherwise Silva would've played him, why wouldn't he? I presume he wants to put the best team out. Besides that anyway, Lookman is talented but nowhere near as important as Gueye so he was never guaranteed a lot of game time unless he upped his game and attitude. He was given the year, Everton took the year as is their right when he's under contract, it didn't work out. I'm glad they did because now I believe they are right to sell him. last year I would been annoyed. Lets use the money for someone hungrier to play for us

From what I've seen he gives the ball away cheaply. He's got talent but doesn't seem to know when to use it and when to play it simple.

Still young and still learning, but I don't think he'll ever be a consistent top four player.

Oh I love players who don't play simple all the time so that'll explain it.
