The bizarre thing about this attitude problem is that it hasn’t stopped Hassenhuttl, Nagelsmann and Rangnick from pursuing him. Maybe if he had a few more aesthetically pleasing but pointless touches like Bernard he would be rated highly by the fanbase

And God forbid he get frustrated at not getting a chance over the guy who's greatest value is tied to another player and not anything he can do himself. I want Bernard to kick on but for Silva to say in his Lookman speech I don't evaluate wingers on there defensive work and then pick Bernard every week is questionable to say the least.

I can’t see Bernard getting much better tbh, Richarlison and Lookman are both much better on the left than him and Sigurdsson has a far more prominent goal threat as a 10

Lookman hasn't been happy at the club for at least 2 years. His heart's just not been in it.

Unless they both have a total 180 on the trajectory of their careers I don't think we will say this in 2 years. I wouldn't now.

Well seeing as Lookman would be gone on a free in 2years because things weren't handed to him then it wouldn't be an issue for us... Not sure what could tell you he's better than Bernard, I imagine the players prefer playing with Bernard, not as careless with the ball for starters and works harder. There will be no way to judge this in 2 years if he is at Leipzig and if he is as hot as you believe then the top 6 would be interested as he is also homegrown. I think the couple of good cameos have warped your opinion a bit, at least admit it's a possibility. Bernard was key part of our strong finish. When has Lookman made a significant impact? I can think of 2 important assists and that debut goal against a capitulating city. Besides players with 2yrs left that seem unhappy and are worth some money need to be sold. Can't be having anymore Barkley scenarios

I don't remember every appearance Lookman made but I also remember enough moments of genuine quality that the suggestion he's done nothing but score against City is bogus.

As for Bernard being a key part of our good finish, how many people get to be key? Because I'd say Richarlison, Digne, Gylfi, Zouma, Gueye and Keane were all more important.
