ok fair enough. It just read quite amusingly to me, is all. Sorry for the scurrilous accusation.

And I agree with your assertion, he is not good enough now, but has been more than good enough in the past.

No worries. I can see why you might have thought I was an Osman bandwagon hater. Does seem to be a lot on here who clearly have no clue and like a player to single out. It's becoming more clear that he's no longer good enough for consistent playing time at Premier League level. But he isn't, and never has been a bad player, as is made out on here.

It was a disgrace last night Martinez started one winger when he had all four to choose from...against Hull...who were out of any sort of form...at home.

I felt sorry for Coleman, there were so many times he received the ball and there was just noone in a blue shirt near him.

Not looking good enough is he.
He just isn't what we need at this time. He's a Wigan signing when we need another Mirallas type.

Mcgeady had how many minutes last night ? Didnt even start, yet as soon as Everton dont pick up 3 points and look like turd, we decide it must be McGeady that is holding us back.

Lets head into the Mcgeady thread and continue the abuse because he did nothing in the time it took me to finish farting.

Ha ha ha ok fellllla's

But thanks for confirming that mcgeady gets slated just because its the norm and 'its what we do innit '

Was kinda judging him on what he's done since January. That long enough for ya?

Martinez started with Mirallas over that side with Coleman - talk about crowding out. When he switched Osman over there, Osman then drifted in and hardly figured out wide.

Coleman must be shaking his head wondering who's going to be ahead of him in the next game. He's had about 6 different people starting off at RM.

I think we can all agree that from january to the end of last season was him just bedding in. It was never going to be easy.

This season he has been better and like the rest of the squad, who has, apart from McCarthy, really stood out for you and hasn't been under some sort of criticism. Everyone pretty much had a slow start to the season, for whatever reason, we will never know but surely, SURELY even you can see that of late, McGeady is improving and shouldn't be the scapegoat or deserves the finger pointing coming his way.

BTW.... im curious. What did you think of Naismith in the first 18 months he was here ?

McGeady for me is working harder than he did last season - but we are seeing what the Irish fans have said for years - a lack of end product.

not good enough for Everton....end of story....

He has no consistent end product whatsoever. Really frustrating player to watch
Both of these are 100% correct. If you look each of our players in turn and ask yourself "would another top six club be interested in this guy?" McGeady is one of the ones for whom the reply would be "No".

He's looking like a stopgap player we picked up for less than £2m, at a time when we had NO depth on the wings and desperately needed some: because that's exactly what he is. In over one thousand minutes spread across sixteen appearances this season he's registered one goal and four assists. That's nothing to shout about and given his age, he is not going to get any better.

Mirallas is 27, McGeady is 28 and Pienaar is 32: we need a new, young, starting XI-standard winger ASAP.
