Aiden McGeady

McGeady will become an Everton player. It is a done deal. Just a case of whether it will be this window or the Summer he joins.

Had a great laugh reading this thread, all the experts saying how crap he is. Wonder how many have actually watched him play. Take it from a season ticket holder of over 10 years at Celtic, he is one of the most naturally talented players we produced in a generation. Capable of outrageous talent with a football and on his day (which isn't often enough) he can be world class.

Yes, he can be infuriating and wasteful and not every cross is pin point, but one thing you can guarantee, he will quickly become your top assist maker. If Martinez can help develop more goals to his game, something he has always lacked, he will become the top player so many predicted when he was younger.

Anyway, with Mcgeady set to join you I'm going to have a large soft spot for Everton now. Looking forward to watching him light up the premiership in Royal Blue.

Nice one mate.

Thanks for that, i'm quite happy with this signing, ignore our fans, they didn't even want Martinez or James Mccarthy when we were linked. How do you know it a done deal?

Ignore our fans?

It's a forum mate. Opinions are allowed. Whether they turn out right or wrong is different thing altogher.
And should McGeady join i'd be very shocked if he didn't get every ounce of support for our fans.

I can't say i've seen enough of the lad to give an opinion really. I've heard from some he's good, and some he's not.

I mean ignore our players when judging players or managers, remember most of you wanted some porto guy instead of Martinez and then moaning that we paying 13 million for an average player like James. I'm hoping you're all wrong again over Aiden. I was a fan of Martinez and James as ive seem them alot over the years, not seen Aiden but his videos, his stats are all good so hopefully we have another gem.

Ignore him ^ mate.... Ijjy doesn't know what he is talking about ;)

I trust Roberto. If McGeady (Geads) comes in, I think he'll make a great impact. A few people are moaning about his end product, if can't be much worse than our current wingers (Mirallas and Pienaar). Mirallas has got into some outstanding positions this season, only to pass a useless ball straight to the keeper/defense. I think McGeady's pace will give him confidence that he doesn't need to thread a ball right away. Pienaar's assists have certainly dried up, but I'm putting that down to his age. He still gets a few amount of "assist to the assist", so he still has a use.

So ignore both our players and fans?

lol at that response

Assuming your being a smart arse mate by your response, so will quote the guardian article from 2008 lad, will bold the part so you can understand what i mean as apparently you struggle to believe what i said being true, the loan secured what was the old tv deal therefore shouldn't effect the increased amount coming in as back then it wasn't known their would be a massive increase in the future

While David Moyes demands assurances that his club have the means to match his ambition, Everton have added two more mortgages to their balance sheet. The loans, both struck with the boutique Edinburgh bank Adam & Company, are in addition to money borrowed from Barclays last year against future television income.

The first Adam & Co loan was drawn last October and the second last month, meaning that Everton now have a total of 12 outstanding loans against their property and assets. Most significant among them is a £30m loan from the Prudential which will cost £68m to repay over a 25-year term and "will be repaid in a securitisation agreement serviced by future season-ticket sales and match-day ticket sales".

Having broken the club's transfer record in each of the past two summers with the purchases of Andy Johnson and Yakubu Ayegbeni, it is unclear how often Everton will be able to repeat that feat having mortgaged future revenues.

Meanwhile, the club are shrugging off the latest move by a group campaigning against the proposed move to out-of-town Kirkby. The Keep Everton in our City campaign believes it will soon be in a position to force the board to hold an EGM over its concerns about the additional £78m in borrowings that the club must find for the relocation. But Everton say that the group will not secure the support of the required 20% of shareholders to call the EGM.

You'dve thought some people would have learned by now that you shouldn't write a new player off before he's bedded into the squad...

All I'm saying is:

1. They've done this before and been wrong.

2. It's a group of people who run the account, so unless there's a group of ITK's in a cupboard in Goodison somewhere then there's no way they are ITK.

3. They only guess on substantiated rumours once the momentum is behind it, often a week before the deal is finalised, and then subtly claim they knew all along. They don't guess the out of the blue ones like Bilyaletdinov etc.

There's no single definite Everton ITK on Twitter.

I am ITK and on twitter.
