Yep just been on his twitter so it definitely has nothing to do with health reasons. Proper Evertonian communicating with Evertonians? People at the top obviously can't have that can they. In this day and age communication via social networks is an absolute must and he was superb at it. Next person in no doubt will have sod all to do with Everton. You know that bloke in the office who handed in his resignation yesterday? He's starting work on Monday with a rival company. But no way was it planned like that. Just happened so quickly, you know?

I'm not blaming Myers. I'm just thinking out loud how that might look for the objective observer.

I've got one foot in anti-Kenwright after the miserable January window, and will have both feet in it if the summer window isn't ambitious. Myers seems a lot more genuine than Kenwright does. But still, the Blackburn job happened far too quick for it not to have been planned before today.

What that means in the grand scheme...who knows. Myers won't spill the beans if he's still in the game.

Yep, I was amazed watching the unfolding disaster on the day. Dont get me wrong - it was the type of buffoonery that could have worked if there was some end product to it...like a cash announcement. But all it did was draw derision and (as said) a shed load of national coverage motivated by head scratching on the (non)financial side of the deal. That must have been very uncomfortable for Elstone. He'd successfully buried the Kitbag balls up at club/local level...this projected it beyond those environs and I bet he was mightily pissed off.

You can only go on form Myers hasn't a record for lies toward Evertonians (far from it) so I'll take whatever he says before Elstone and Kenwright.

this is a low point for the club. many questions remain why a hugely popular director at the club has left to go to blackburn. the 'personal reasons' and okeefe article should be explained by the club
