Alan Myers leaves Everton for 'personal reasons'.

We will miss him giving the fans answers to questions and involving us in the club matters.

As opposed to director of communications who plot against fans, or who agree drastic changes to the club badge without proper consultation, or who show total ignorance/arrogance of club values, and who deride and abuse Evertonians.

Myers may not have had a squad number but he was as important as any player, if your focus isn't just on what happens on the pitch and is on what happens around the whole club.
I doubt you know, but for official Everton stuff you are my first point of reference on here.
You took something the wrong way once that I said, but hey, that's the internet.

The fact that such a loss of a media asset really isn't surprising though ?
It's all getting mixed up with twitter etc.
BK won't like official Everton business going on twitter first will he ?
Everton is a closed door business.
It's an old joke of " where's the ... Money gone Bill ? "
But.. In reality.. Where has it gone ?
Myers may have been too loose a cannon.

Good post, especially the last bit, as it neatly demonstrates that some fans don't always follow what goes on outside of the pitch and dugout.

I for one am keeping an open mind, but reckon that Myers won't reveal anything as he's still in the industry in the same position. So we're left with opinions, rather than facts.

Shame. It's not helping Everton FC progress any way you look at it.

The more i ponder this the more it bothers me. First bright spark amongst a box of lackeyed tools who do nothing but grind through their jobs treating their own fans with contempt and disdain. A proper blue but also someone with nous and invention brings us out of the PR/fan engagement dark ages and is unceremoniously dumped after half a season.
Once you go above Martinez this club is a poisonous shambles; times like this remind me how much I hate it

I will apologise for stating it was health reasons but I got the info from inside the club seems everyone was spun the same line curiosa & curiosa . WHAT IS GOIN ON
Not your fault. I saw that spiel from the club as well. I wanted to believe it, because the alternative is saddening and enraging.

I have to agree. I genuinely felt so proud of our club, we've improved our image so much over the 7 months now, and we well and truly are a family club, where the kids can enjoy the activities before game, where the entire club from tea lady through to seemingly Director of Communications could be seen with a big smile on their faces.

Alan worked tirelessly to please every blue he could, and even though half the time, i sent him tongue in cheek stuff on twitter, he'd always joke back, and there was a great sense of unity, and pride.

I'm not saying for a second that i don't feel it anymore, i'll always love Everton, but it just stinks of typical Everton this, it was going TOO well, so they took the best thing to come to the club in a long time, and discarded it before people got too comfortable. I don't know where you're gonna get a man who's so passionate about a profession, yet remaining to professional throughout, again though, cause he did a cracking job. Even if you do disagree, you have to thank him for getting rid of the monstrosity called our current badge. He responded to the outcry, and made sure that it got fixed.

Cheers Alan.

Chris Woods got paid from Everton to coach our goalies.

Our goalies are already better than chris woods..

Get Nev in.

Everton will be doing something wrong if they don't hire another blue, someone who's deeply passionate about the club, and the fans. Southall would be all of that. I'd imagine if we got someone like Stubbs it'd be horrendous.
