Alan Myers leaves Everton for 'personal reasons'.

Our duty is to keep an open mind until we have some solid information to go on.

Our duty is not to fall in line with an ultra's agenda (language like "lackeys" and "parasites" aren't useful to anyone, neither are unsubstantiated claims they are being paid off by the club).

Facts:

27.02 - Myers announces he's leaving Everton for "personal reasons" only 7 months after joining his "dream job".
27.02 - Myers posts lots of emotive Everton photos as a goodbye to fans.
28.02 - Myers announces he's joining Blackburn.
28.02 - Mike Parry is publicly asking Myers to explain the reason for his departure.

Any other facts relevant to this case?
that's my brother he went cause you made him
he was a true blue since birth now shut it

cause he got shat on
mike parry can fxxk off

He's started tweeting about £100 tickets for the derby and the staff who were sacked from the club shop. It's beginning to seam pretty obvious that he's fallen out with the hierarchy probably over Kitbag (they made the staff redundant) and stubhub (the site selling £100 derby tickets) both organisations were both deals struck by Elstone. So my guess would be that he's fallen out with him.

Parry and the Echo briefing against Myers.

Pretty much case closed on who our sympathies should lie with.

Lackey's and parasites coming out of the woodwork to make sure the gravy train keeps on the tracks.

What a shabby affair.

So sad really.

We have the positivity thread, for me, all of our positivity was spun by the man himself, for me, the feel good factor circling the club, the best us Evertonians have felt for years, i contribute that to the fans feeling closer to the club, by effectively being kept in the loop, i mean what other club organise 'Tea party' meetings, for fans to hear stories of the past, and for free... all down to Myers.

I have felt negative for a couple of weeks now, and it's not surprising that it's coincided with Myers lack of communication, and such, and now he's left, and i feel more down about us then i have for a while.

I would love to know whose fault it was, i feel i'd always be in Alan's corner though, cause he brought Every blue a cracking sense of pride in his short stint here.

the most disgusting thing is its all so obvious, and people will still lap it up and clap away, while a decent fella who stuck up for the little people gets the rough end of the stick, it really pains me to hear intelligent evertonians sticking up for that fat weapon and his greedy little gang, I've found myself in the minority when the topic comes up in the boozer plenty of times

There is no 'our duty' at all. People can use their own brains (and eyes and ears) to see what's going on. Investigative journalism would not exist if journalists didn't piece together evidence.

As is often the case when a person departs, an attempt is made to keep things as amicable as possible, at least publicly. However there are a number of very clear things that indicate.

It is highly unusual for someone to leave their dream job after 6 months, completely out of the blue, with close work colleagues not commenting on his departure at all nor wishing him well.

It is highly unusual for the departing employee, supposedly leaving for his own reasons and with no ill feeling, suddenly start getting things off his chest (references to how the club should be branded, ticket touting, and Kitbag making employees redundant from the club shop).

It is highly unusual for the departing employee to be hounded on Twitter by a very public best friend of the departing employee's boss.

If it walks like a duck, smells like a duck and quacks like a duck, it is almost certainly a duck.

kenwright walks a bit like a duck

We will miss his creativeness in midfield.. and he chipped in with some vital goals.

We will miss him giving the fans answers to questions and involving us in the club matters.

As opposed to director of communications who plot against fans, or who agree drastic changes to the club badge without proper consultation, or who show total ignorance/arrogance of club values, and who deride and abuse Evertonians.

Myers may not have had a squad number but he was as important as any player, if your focus isn't just on what happens on the pitch and is on what happens around the whole club.
