12) I just don't buy any of the 'He heard bad news was coming so he quit' stuff. That's not the way real life works. I'm sure he was on good pay at Everton, but he's not set for life, and I severely doubt he has the financial freedom to just quit a job on a whim or point of principle. Especially one he had made a big deal about and donated MANY HOURS of his own spare time to, liaising with the fans on Twitter. He went above and beyond his job description. This man clearly loved his job as much as he loved/loves the club.
