Yep, that's the type of epic contrick they may turn to.

Perhaps Leahy was trundled out last week to start the ball rolling. And I'd imagine Joe"sorry I'm cutting everything, but it's the Tories telling me to"Anderson would play along with the ruse of being in talks with Everton for a new stadium in the city...the undertone comng out of the club would be that money would be needed to be saved for Everton's end of this fantasy stadium that (like all the rest) will never be built.

I've said it before mate: this board are pathetic at everything other than the black art of propganda. On that they are industry leaders. How else do you explain a bunch of people from a city who can smell a chancer at 100 paces putting up with this failure for so long.

I know he's not some people favourite person, I GET THAT, but some would shout 'FFS KENWRIGHT' if the grass was cut too short on the pitch.

If indeed Alan Myers fell out with someone at the club, sorry, but that's the world of work, it happens. People deal with it in different ways.

I'm sorry to see him go, I liked him, but it's done now.

It's a hyperbolic and overly-emotive use of language, and constantly directed in a vindictive merciless fashion. In the study of neurolinguistics, this use of language is partly how dictators/cult-leaders are able to gain followers.


It's not used to support debate, this type of language is used to stifle it.

"black art of propaganda" is meaningless language. But it's soundbitey so will gain a like or two.

"industry leaders" in propaganda? Is Everton in the Community propaganda? Is being honest about the badge and changing it propaganda? Is promoting Dunc propaganda? Because an "industry leader" in this field would always be at it.

You could argue that it is in fact Dave that is the master of propoganda, because propoganda is often a matter of persistance rather than insight, with a particular narrative bashed out inpertuity and thus becoming the defacto opinion through little other than the lack of will of opponents to bother fighting it.

So from his tweets last night, it seems he's spoken out about certain issues at the club (stubhub, club shop staff being laid off and probably some stuff we don't know), because he's an Evertonian these are obviously emotive issues for him and he, rightly, couldn't bite his tongue.


Whoever he's spoken out too (Elstone, Rowan, Bill or whoever) has shot him down. I wonder if it was a simple case of "I can't work here with these people" or if he issued a "if you don't change X then I'll walk" ultimatum?

If this is right, its a massive shame the club has lost someone willing to stick to his principles no matter who it upsets, and he'll have gone up further in my estimation.

You never know he might be brought back when we finally get taken ovahahahahahaha. Sorry just realized what I was saying.

I love this idea that anyone criticising the past 14 years of gross mismanagement of Everton are the real problem. It's almost as funny as suggesting an incident in which a dyed in the wool Evertonian and insider like Myers is just short of explicitly stating something is rotten in the state of Denmark and that this requires spinning in some way shape or form.

What you see is what you get in this: the veil is dropped to reveal the ugly face of the club...just as it was when Ross' emails were leaked.

Its the closed shop mentality of paranoid Bill Kenwright and co every thing has to be so secretive e.g.banned AGM,s in the past - the DM saga leaving the truth will come out via the backdoor over Alan Myers departure - I dread losing RM and UNT sacking DM and ending up with him again -stranger things could happen !!!!!!

Maybe. But we'll see in the summer. I think the vast majority of people for the first time in years are expecting a very decent outlay of cash in the next transfer window. There will be a lot of propaganda both before the window and during it to dampen down expectations, but there's less and less of an appetite for swallowing BS regarding failure to net spend. Obviously, many now saying they'll reserve judgement until the summer spending is known will fall into line with the club's spin. But more and more wont this time. There'll be a very sizeable shake out of 'board-believers' if Everton dont spend, say, circa £10M net (a joke summer window spend for a club of our size, but enough to placate any potential dissenters).

That extra revenue is on everyone's mind now and the board will have to perform a con-trick of epic proportions to avoid conflict.
