Do you think hes a good and effective player?

No, not really. Lots of talent but needs to bring more to be worth a start. I just don’t see why this social media post of all things has people wound up so much.

What an absolute crock of sh!te. I know absolutely zip about his off field stuff apart from whats posted on here. Even then i dont care. Everything is about his half arsed efforts on the pitch. Why do you think he gets subbed every single time he's selected to start? Coz he never leaves it all out there. Bare minimum player. Its just a shame our options are so limited that he gets included. In nearly two years here i think he's turned up twice. 45 mins v fulham. 45 mins v brighton. Apart from that i think he's been carried in the side by others. Doucoure isnt the best player in the world but people never throw at him what they throw at iwobi. Coz he gives it everything.
Fraud. And the sooner you get those out your club the better. Go jog round the pitch elsewhere for someone else.

Think you’ve misunderstood me mate. As I said in the comment I don’t think he’s good enough at the moment either, and criticising him based on that is a-ok. I’m specifically talking about going at him for this social media post that literally has nothing to do with the club, making him out to be unprofessional because of it, and the hostility that seems to have unleashed.

For what it’s worth though, I do think he is a hard worker and I have been happy with this part of his game most of the season. It’s in the final third that I think he is way, way off where we need him to be. Crossing especially

The idea is you wouldn't ask most players to move out of position and blame them for being bad at it, but it is fair game with Iwobi.

But then people go "Godfrey and Holgate have done it!!!" ignoring that Holgate and Godfrey do at best half the job of a fullback. So whatever.

Not a top half team. Back up in Europe (hopefully) at best.

Just weird to me how it goes with some guys. I'm not even saying Iwobi has been good for us, but no one gave him a chance. Most of our other signings it has taken multiple years of them being below average for people to get to the point Iwobi was at immediately. And they haven't had to deal with half the crap from managers Iwobi has.

I jump on everyone's back early though. I'm not inconsistent at all. I don't think Godfrey or Doucoure are good players. I've been out on Gomes for a long time. When I think they're good I go there early too. I said Kean was good from the start more or less.

I think the only player I've been really wrong about long term is probably DCL. I didn't think he could ever be a consistent goal scorer but he's found a way.
