It looks like he will never contribute enough goals or assists to warrant huge money, if hard work and running is all he brings surely we can find a better player for that role. One that doesn't duck out of challenges for instance.

He is still here because nobody wants him. Simple as that. In his defense he works hard which is why managers keep giving him chances. That and his price tag. But as a right midfielder he seriously holds us back. He just slows everything down too much- which is a problem for a player you rely on to carry the ball.
