Yeh he should get some stick for it. We give any player stick in the Today's Footie thread after an awful pen.

I am not going to blame Onana. It was a lottery. We didn't lose the game we lost a shoot out. We didn't play well enough to win the game but we stayed in it

Agree with this. Loved the last couple of weeks. Feel utterly flat with the manner of that pen. He blazes it over or hits a post then I'm fine.

Hardly a killer for us. Its disappointing but we keep going.

Don't even need one hand to count the amount of semi finals I've seen us play in my life time. We can keep going and push for a decent mid table finish but that's not much compared to the chance of one last famous night at Goodison under the lights in a cup game.

Complete lack of composure and ability. If you’re hitting a penalty like that you need to wait for keeper to move before slotting. Shocking, gets worse everytime I see it b

You shouldn't be taking a penalty like that full stop.

Players who wait for the keeper to move shouldn't take penalties and generally miss more than they score.

Make the keeper move after not before.

Agreed. Gana should not get a lot of stick because it was nearly a greatly placed pen, hitting the post. Whereas if you do your little stutter and then kick it softly, not anywhere remotely close to the corner, that is going to always be problematic.

His terrible through ball attempt annoyed me when he had so much time. He is still learning and he will get a lot from this. Not sure why he was taking the ‘winning’ pen though.

He didn't decide to take the pen. The order gets picked before hand.
