He’s a young, talented lad who in a world where we weren’t dancing for pennies would be the bedrock of our team for years to come alongside Garner.

He tried a risky pen because he’s a confident lad. It had either worked in training reasonably often or he’ll be getting questioned by Dyche.

He’s not a mercenary who doesn’t give a toss & will be feeling this. Abusing him just hurts us.

In fairness he isn't on GOT reading any of these posts, and many of us have spent countless hours and pounds worth of electricity in loading up Vip Box on our Acers in our ma's spare rooms just to be subjected to that from him - disgraceful.

It was risky for sure and if you look at it again you'll notice it was horrendously executed. I mean, a glacier fast ball placed to yard or so from the center of the goal and his intentions could've be seen from the Permian period. Self confidence and skills mismatch.
 
Everton never win shoot outs we simply don’t. Bad pen but so is every missed pen, Richy bladed one over the bar vs Southampton years ago, he didn’t get abuse. It happens get over it

His technique let him down no doubt. Whether that was fatigue, lingering after effects of his recent knock, the 1/X times he misses with that pen in training or a combination.

We saw with Trippier what happens to the basic technique of normally excellent players when fatigue really kicks in.

Still more opportunities for that to happen as we still have another full season at goodison.

I don’t get these mid table comments either. Just had two seasons where we have survived by the skin of our teeth and people are sneering at it? Not for me. I’d love a cup but I’d rather be sure our final season at goodison and moving to BMD we are a PL team. That is more important to us long term.
 
Hopefully and like me, he woke up many times through the night shaking his head saying WTF !!! Looking on the plus side, he knows he owes us and himself and I'm fully expecting some monster performances from him in the next few games !!
