Bit of criticism for a shocking penalty is hardly shameful. Think people are just genuinely gutted we're not in a semi final.

Must be good to finally have a target for all that rage that’s been building since we’ve been good.

Must be angry about something at all times to justify miserable outlook on life.

There's a section of this fanbase that gets a little chub on when we fail.

Hoping its just a loud minority over reacting. Yes it was a terrible pen but it doesn't negate his recent good form. He is young and will hopefully learn from it. Attacking him over it won't do any good.

You think that but we've lost 4 shootouts in this competition in the last 6 years and I don't remember any of them! I'm pretty confident that in a couple of years I won't remember this one either.

It was the quarters, a lot of big teams were out and the fact if he'd have scored we'd have went through.

Let's face it, when you miss a penalty like that you'll have your character questioned. I can remember all the way back to Bobby Robson slaughtering Jermaine Jenas for taking a pen in such a casual manner - and that was a pre season game.

Only one thing for Onana to do now is go out over the next few games and put some motm performances in.

It won't do any harm either unless he reads this forum, and when you spend your hard earned money and a fair amount of your time going to watch the team it's not unreasonable to vent your frustrations here.

When you see the likes of Barcelona etc being interested you can see how an already inflated ego could start to run away.

When you hear top ex-pros talk about their careers they often talk about moments like that last night that reminded them not to get too cocky.

Hopefully he takes the criticism and learns the lesson and makes it up to the team with a bit of humility, then it can at least be a moment that something can come from.

It's a badly missed penalty to get a club that hasn't won anything in 28 years to a semi final. I would be very surprised if it wasn't the biggest individual moment of the season, but that's from my perspective of being desperate to see us lift a trophy in my life time. I know other people think we should prioritise staying in the league and that's fair enough based on the last two years.

Amazing that for a hundred years players could just run up to a ball and slot a penalty away. Now it’s a hop/skip/jump/dance and a side foot to the keeper.
