Player Valuation: £35m
Would like to see him sold in the next 7 days. If we sell him towards the end of the window we will struggle to get a replacement.

Last season Martinelli scored 15 goals whereas this season he has scored 2 and Saka scored 14 goals and so far he has scored 6, the whole team scored 88 goals by the end of the season, so far this season they have 37 goals. Arteta's idea of a striker is Jesus and it's just a body to fill a space, the Arsenal setup is about slick interplay and getting overloads from midfield. I could maybe see them going for someone like Rutter at Leeds who is that false 9 type but can score and link play but unless Arteta is planning on reinventing himself I don't see him going for a no9 type player. They need someone who nets. Saka is their top scorer with 6. Then Nketiah with 5. They've spent £650mill on Arteta's watch and they're the lowest scorers in that current top 5.
I think Onana's ceiling is loads higher than Garners I like Garner but he's just a decent allrounder Onana has got a lot more potential. Selling players on is part of the cycle for us so hopefully when he goes it will be for good money.I rate the lad and I'd be sad to see him leave, bags of potential, if yet again we're in a position where we need to sell in this window, then we really have to push for 70 mil, not sure we'll get it like but has to be the target.
Seen some back and forth in this thread re this lad, and as gutted as I'd be to see onana leave, I'd rather him than garner, garner will hands down be the better player.
How so Kind Sir?Interesting timing this with the new FFP announcement on Monday.......

Fair point. Just find it interesting it seems to be getting done so quickly. Feels like the Richarlison sale to Spurs which had to be done urgently to balance the books. Maybe they've just decided he can never be forgiven for the penalty in the cup so he has to go.The two cannot be related. The reporting period for Monday's "announcement" ended 6 months ago.
It might be cash flow related rather than ffp. The stadium build could be hoovering up any spare cash available. There is no way this isn't FFP related though surely? Why would we sell now from a football perspective? We saw with Caicedo last year that it's always more beneficial to hold out from a financial point of view.
I'm pretty sure the latest set of accounts that were submitted last month only account up until the end of the 22/23 season.Interesting timing this with the new FFP announcement on Monday.......
