2023/24 Amadou Onana

More likely they’ve had their fears confirmed. Most of us thought he was a terrible signing before he kicked a ball because his record was so poor. It turns out he’s even worse than his stats said he was. A truly terrible player who will leave when his contract runs out, and not before, and will never play top flight football ever again.
So pre-conceived ideas and then looking for any excuse to slate him because of them?

There isn't, but everyone has a price.... that goes for all clubs. I would rather we keep him,

Respectfully Liverpool & Chelsea were willing to break a transfer record for him, I would be going with them over you on this one & when I have seen him he is levels above Onana. He also surpasses him on every statistic.
For £110M we would all be wanting somebody who is stellar surely, not just somebody who is better than Onana. He might be a good, solid Premier League player, but he's not the galactico some, plus the ludicrous fee are suggesting. Also, considering some of the dross Liverpool and Chelsea have spent significant fee's on I'm not so sure about your point.....respectfully.

Absolutely teams awful, I’m not criticising I’m just saying he was for a few games last season and didn’t do an awful lot all season had one good game against Arsenal, showed glimpses of talent I think he can be a good player in a few years time, people can mention his age but I’m of the understanding your good enough you’re old enough Rooney was ripping the champions league up at 18/19
With respect you can't compare virtually anyone in World football, never mind at Everton with Rooney at 18/19 (or beyond for that matter) as he was unique.

Gordon deserved it IMO. Always came across as arrogant and then his displays on the pitch, always falling to the ground, wasting the ball, and then the way he left all speak to me that he felt he was better than he was. Ross / Leon... they tried and wanted to do well.
Just no, mate.
Richarlison spent 3 years falling to the ground. Gordon gave everything he had for a period of time and helped massively in keeping us up. He was 21. As soon as a pass went awry or he hit a wild shot the fans were off.

Everyone has an opinion. I disagree re: Gordon. That said, I do understand your point re: About being 21. It's fair comment.

Respect is earned not requested, all we ask them to do is put in a shift and look like they are trying.
They are professional footballers that should be able to aim a football from 3 yards out and hit a target of 24ft x 8ft. (7.32 x 2.44m).
It's not a lot to ask, do this and they should be loved and worshipped into their old age (unless they sign for someone else)

Any excuse - like scoring once in his last 41 appearances?
Well, that's usually something to do with the other players around him as well. Easy to slate one player but if you aren't creating opportunities then how does he score? All forwards miss opportunities just seems his are higher ranked in an effort to meet a pre-set agenda. All players should start the season with a clean slate IMO and he worked hard at the weekend.

Is he a £110M World class player? A Galactico? More expensive than Bellingham who will have significantly more impact on his teams success than Caicedo?

That’s a stupid amount of money but he is clearly a very good player. Very few players are worth what they’re actually getting bought for in this day and age. Currently he’s better than Onana.

He’s crap I’m afraid mate. It’s not a big conspiracy.

nonsense.
He was/is a kid.
moan to your mates in the pub, complain on here, but roaring abuse at him didn't help him or Everton.

Thats football tho, I've seen it at most levels.
