Sorry mate, i dont accept that take at all, i think its a bit dogmatic and doesnt take ointo account our individual dynamic and profile, i think as aa fan base we accept we have to sell our best players far to easily and their is no guarantee given the ownership dynamic that this money would be used to benefit the club.

Yes selling players at times in an imperative, not now though - we are cash flow positive at the moment. Next season we may not be - so we look at it then.

All to recently we have been forced into deals, we had to sell Richarilson to a deadline, we had to sell Gordon - and didn't have time or the profile to reinvest - buying clubs are dictating these deals. What im saying is we have to stop that, turn down bids and hang onto a player or else we will be seen as soft touch 0 which in my opinion we are. Also given the afore mentioned deals we have 0 evidence that any finance given will go to be reinvested - all our signings this summer bar Chemiti are on the never, never.

Given the ownership situation, with two weeks left in the window, the season under way and the contract situation of our other central midfielders i think we would need to be compensated in the region of £80-£100 mill for him and the inconvenience. I doubt we will get that, but thats fine to - he stays. They played stupid money for Anthony at this same time last year.

I mean I think on last seasons evidence we got good money for Richarlison and Gordon. But yes, we sold from a position of weakness, partially because we didnt run our business well and we were in a tight spot.

My view, is Richarlison should have gone for 85m when it was on the table from Barcelona. DCL should have probably gone to Arsenal when we might have got say 60-70m for him. When buying clubs make big offers, I think have to start looking at it more closely.

Brighton are cash flow positive, but will still sell their best player.

Fair. I mean he has it all - when he was at Lille he played CB, CDM and CAM in a single game in the Champs league if I recall. Perhaps a victim of his own versatility. Would benefit from a tactically astute manager who is in post for long enough to have a clear plan for him and then for that plan to take root. That would make him more consistent in the yes of the fans

Bit like Tom Davies ;)

I dont disagree and he's young and inexperienced but he needs to learn pretty quick that doing that doesn't go down well.

Also show his lack of concentration abilities at the moment if he gets distracted by the crowd when we are 1 down with a few minutes to go.. May also explain his tendency to drift in and out of games but he's young enough to learn and improve that side of his game too.

I like him as a footballer but he is far from the finished product as most aren't at his age.
So basically some absolute scum abused our best player who happens to be 21 and he (no doubt wondering what mental capacity they have) reacted.

Those 'fans' are pretty fortunate that no Evertonians were sat nearby...if it was me there, there would have been some ejections (including me).

I hope he isnt too dismayed by those (and a fair amount of posters) being terrible judges of a footballer.

You would do nuttin Zat.

I've shared this before. But was at a game a few years back, not 100% but may have been Swansea at home. Cousin of mine is an Arsenal fan but was in Liverpool with his missus and got a ticket for the game.

Met him afterwards and his first words to me were "Your fans dont half get on Barkleys back". So thats from someone impartial. And i agreed, he was one of creative players and anything he did that didn't come off was met with groans and abuse.

I was at the game against Forrest last year. Was sat behind behind a girl that did nothing but shout abuse at our own players all game. Funny enough it was the girl that the whole controller situation happened with last year.

We have a section of our fanbase that their default mode is negativity and moaning and i think even if we were at the top of the table and challenging for trophies that wouldn't change.

But for the most part we have a fanbase that gets behind the team, but also lets them know their are accountable for their effort and performance. Nothing wrong with that.

Why people get so touchy when anything is questioned abouts our fans i don't know.

So if the Onana situation is true. Its poor professionalism from him, but on a human level would any of us react differently to getting abuse. Particularly on game 1 of the season?
Whats the bit in bold all about?
You would do nuttin Zat.
Ive suffered a few ejections in my time princess.
