No and I think most were expecting him to go but hoping that Belgium would help carry his fee north of 60 but they and he were average so probably 50 is all we can expect

Have they bought one of Pickford or Branthwaite? I thought they’d just paid 50 mill for a midfielder who finished the season behind 34 year old Gueye and Garner.

Buying young players with potential, keeping them for a minimal amount of time then flipping them for PSR profit is the Brighton model. Just taking their best ever example of this doesn’t mean this isn’t what’s happening here.

We’ve also potentially already sorted his replacement with the lad from Villa.

A revolving door on talent that barely matters to the fans just passing through the club to help the balance sheet. It’s exactly the Brighton model.
