At a similar age, he'd played for Genk, Werder Bremen and was off to Wolfsberg.

He joined City at 23 or 24 years old. Before that he had limited mins for Chelsea.

His 'value' then was lower than Onana's is now. In a more valued position in terms of transfer fees (prior to this summer).

The key point with Onana is that players in his actual DM / anchor position are around 24+ before they begin to hit their potential.

Just look at the likes of Henderson or Fabinho...across the park. Many also didnt rate Rice until very recently and Philips wasnt even considered a player until a couple of years back...how about Gana/Kante still in France?

I’m slating them because they’re crap and to develop you need the right squad around you we haven’t so shouldn’t be allowing players not good enough to develop in the situation we’re in.

If youre a Liverpool fan (because youre posting how amazing their players are) then just admit it?

If you dont like watching players develop who have potential as you slate all of ours and just want to watch the finished article then just watch City games until Everton has those players developed in a few seasons.

YAWN season ticket for last 10 years until this season I’ve give it up, been going home and away for last 20 years not so much away in last 5 years and I’ve said too many times now Coleman needs replacing and has for 2/3 years but unfortunately he’s still our best RB. Well any non-Liverpool fan who had seen either Fabinho (finished) or Henderson (last legs) over the past half a season would say theyre done.

In fact most RS fans were saying Fabinho was finished and Henderson was valuable due to his leadership.

Well that’s a rapid decline for 2 players starting a champions league final just over a year ago and most games for a top 6 side in the league that we’re currently bottom of and struggled for 2 seasons. Ive not looked, but you should look on RAWK or google about Fabinho's decline.

It is a rapid decline. Hes only 29 and was someone i posted about before he joined them. I wanted us to sign him -- he was a right back until moving to DM. You cant compare them at the same age as he wasnt developed as a midfielder in France then.

Henderson is 33 and last season only started 23 league games for them.

I mean, i dont even understand why youre comparing 2 finished players to Onana whether now or at the same age.
