I dont really care if Son is upset by it,I dont care if its not in Sons nature to do it,he went to take a player out and that happened,he is not the victim here

That's fair enough. Nobody, as far as I'm aware, is saying that Gomes is not the victim here.

The entire point is that we don't forget about the injury. Why are you having such trouble grasping this?

It was a yellow card, then upped to a red when the referee saw the injury. That's the rule, as many other people have already pointed out. If your foul causes a serious injury to an opponent, it's a red card.
Was the tackle on Sidibe that sent him flying a red card offence??? It was a dangerous lunge

......that you can still make a tackle and, if a player gets hurt, then that is an occupational hazard and the reason we have insurance and the best medical staff around Football.

It's exactly what Coleman has said to gone to Son for after the game. It wasn't his fault, he shouldn't feel bad. It's the unfortunate nature of the sport. Class act, Seamus.
Alright then mate thats why two footed tackles are banned. Insurance will cover it so let them go round snapping each other. Its an occupational hazard and we do have the best medical staff around afterall. If that doesnt cover it get captain Coleman on to comfort everyone while the squad he captains falls into oblivion and we sit 17th. Sound. No wonder we are fingered.

Source? It is the offense and not the outcome that is decisive.

"A tackle or challenge that endangers the safety of an opponent or uses excessive force or brutality must be sanctioned as serious foul play.

Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs, with excessive force or endangers the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play".

You know it's possible to be kind to people even when things aren't going well for you?

Yeah but we are too kind. Its part of why we are where we are. Silvas comments sum it up. Mourinho, guardiola any top manager would be sounding out this and the standard of officiating weve had lately. 17th, robbed of 4 points in 2 games and a player with a broken leg becuse the ref basically didnt get a grasp on the game soon enough.

I'll agree to disagree then. Coleman having a quiet word with the lad afterwards has no bearing on anything that went before.

There's no weakness in forgiveness.

I've always had time for spurs as a club. Decent supporters and play good football.

But I've lost a lot of respect for them over the last 24 hours. The fact they are going to appeal is utterly pathetic and they should be ashamed. They've somehow managed to portray themselves as the victims in this despite breaking a players ankle.

Least you'd expect is them to be gracious and accept the 3 game ban and draw a line under it. They need called out but I don't think that's very likely.

That's basically everything possible fractured/torn?

Not necessarily, I spoke too soon. Sometimes when the ankle is completely fractured, i.e. both bones this in fact protects the ligaments since the breaking of the bones releases the tension put on them. We´ll see.
