Chin up tubey mate, i know its hard to see any light around the club at the moment, with the board, signings and i'm sure the result today adds insult to injury but keep faith at least until the window shuts.

It isnt. Not if the deal that Kiev wanted once we met the clause, (which wasnt a release clause in that you meet it = player is yours), didnt suit us. I understand we met said clause, Kiev asked for tons of add ons, sell on %, appearance payments, etc etc, so we offered more up front instead. Last I was told the Kiev owner was "considering" it.

And that was lunchtime today.

I think it was because of how we wanted to pay.

They want lump sum, we can only afford (for some obscure reason) to pay instalments.

Yeah like the moutinho saga!! Deal done for £13million but we wanted to pay over 5 yrs and he ended up being a £25 million transfer a couple of yrs later. I'm not surprised as we always want to pay F all upfront and stagger the payments, a club like Kiev and their chairman will not entertain us over their star cult player. Well let's stick with Kone or Osman on the right... Yarmalenko would have made us a total different team. I think at around £15 or £16 million he would have been an absolute steal as well
