If the deal is falling down over add-ons, particularly regarding removing sell on fees, it really highlights just how essential it is for a club like Everton to get a proper return on an investment.

We can't afford to lay out that sort of money unless there is decent profit to be made on that player down the line. Mainly due to the fact that as a club, it simply doesn't have the facilities or backing to compete for high profile players.

A line appears to have been drawn that EFC will/can not cross.

Give another hope to lessen the protests, or just the Echo adding journalistic extras to sexy up the story - or it might be a bone Everton have thrown to the paper in return for the favour and it's actually true.

Either way, hasn't worked as absolutely nobody gives a rats arse about Bernard.

Bernard sounds indeed every bit like a meh... signing after getting linked with Yarmolenko.
 
so it's evertons turn to put pressure on jarg ruskies...bernard story clearly is just for that purpose...not gonna work though...just gives other teams time to mix in ffs.
