But he would get more chances if he actually threatened the opposition goal when he played. Its top level football and he has to score and assist if he wants to play. Until he starts doing that then he cant really argue.

He plays far too much out wide and doesn't have the instinct of a Richarlison to get into scoring positions.

If only we had 2 Richarlisons

Yes I'm talking about Premier league. He needs to carry a goal threat and I'm not sure he does... yet.

Neither do Bernard or Iwobi. Thats why they don't start.

Gomes is usually very good at ball retention which is important away from home. He lacks physicality though and today he was utterly awful and I'm not sure he tried as hard as he could.

Its very simple. If you are a young player given a chance then you have to take your chance. If you don't then you cant expect to play regularly. He didn't do anything last week.

Top players take their chances and look natural at this level. Its a long time since we've had someone like that. Probably Ross Barkley in all honesty.
