If the number is negotiated up to over 40 it’s getting very hard to turn down. But this is an important point. Would he have any interest in Newcastle, or in warming the bench at Spurs?

Wonder if Gordon interest is gonna end up the same way with the Barcodes as it did Spurs.

Spurs after Richy, Newcastle after DCL, both linked to Gordon ..

If we sold him, Richarlison and maybe even DCL in the same window then what really is the point anymore?

Presumably all the posters who constantly say we should sell DCL, and now say Gordon, have either not paid any attention to our recent recruitment, or fancy a year in the championship.

Selling our best young player to Newcastle just shouldn't even be considered. Our dignity would be in pieces and the club's reputation would be in the mire. It would be an utter embarrassment to the fans and an acceptance that we no longer care about even being competitive.

What good is money to a club with an abject squad and no clue who to recruit properly? What do people seriously think will happen?

Our supporters seem oblivious to just how bad we were and how close to relegation we are.

Unless the clubs in dire straits financially, he should be kept. It's important I think to have local lads in the team. This guy could be a future captain.

*edit* just going to quantify it, I get that's how you see things, I respect that. I just can't imagine the lad banging on Carlo Ancelottis door like is reported. If he was someone like Lingard or Pogba with a huge ego I could see that. Just doesn't make sense to me.

Some people reckon the world is flat, and I know a teenager who’s just been sectioned because he thinks there’s aliens living in his plug sockets. So I’d say it’s definitely possible.

If he was playing for say Southampton and we were linked to him for 35 million.
Would we be sayin it's good value?

Bit harsh but 35 mil is a lot of money and he could easily be the next Reiss Nelson

He’s a good player no doubt but could he be an elite level player. I have some reservations.
